I think the point being made by @TheSpectator is about game knowledge and speed of play. NOT skill.
I had my fair share of new team mates last night (but terrible lag as well). It can get tiresome game after game and just a small amount of match making based solely on just level would help. As said earlier in this thread, by level 20-30 people have a good grasp of the game.
When I was new, I was very slow to begin with. Knowing what ammo and attachments work with what gun etc. Playing with players who can sweep up loot and know what they want and how to use it can be daunting and isn't helpful in learning game mechanics for a new player.
If I was playing with newer players when I first started, then those other new players would be learning to (and playing slower), thus giving more breathing space to soak up the information and learn the mechanics without getting beasted by more experienced players.
P.S I can sometimes play a game or two, then break off for 10-15 minutes then back on. I don't always want to be dropping in and out of parties with friends as it's not fair on them. I'm sure I'm not the only one who plays like this sometimes.
T hen that would be a waste of time. It should be based on skill or ranking. Otherwise it would be totally pointless. What would happen is people would just quit the game once they reach a certain level and start getting smashed. Simply because they have reached the limit of their human potential. That is not fair.
Again, Just because this is a BR, makes no difference.
I disagree. A level 20+ won't drop you in the middle of nowhere. A level 20+ won't be reading descriptions as they loot.
You could say that if the training section was more comprehensive then this matchmaking wouldn't be needed.
Kills do not equal skill. Damage doesn't equal skill. Time played equals some understanding of the game mechanics and would keep the matchmaking broad and q times as low as possible.
