That 1 time rank restoration

My son played ranked yesterday for the first time this season. He finished last at Plat 4, logged on today and saw he was bronze 4 - wow. More ridiculousness.

The rank restoration did roll out, though many users already climbed past the point of restoration, so applying the restoration wouldn't do anything except pull them down.

As example:

Someone got pulled down to Rookie IV, their point of restoration would be something like Plat III.

If they reached a higher rank than Plat III, the ranked restoration won't be given, as it would otherwise just pull them down to Plat III.

As far I'm aware, if you encounter the bug where you lose tons of RP, it should just be a visual bug that fixes itself after gaining RP again.

Also posts disappearing shouldn't be too much of an issue.

These posts aren't getting deleted, rather they get merged with other threads by forum moderators.

This is typically done for issues that multiple players are experiencing, putting them all in a single thread reduces the clutter on the forums.

Currently there is another ranked issue going on, affecting the ranks between splits.

Although it might be similar, it's a different issue, though it is being investigated.

@NickBeam27What your son experienced is the normal apex demotion over 2 splits. There really needs to be a "you can only demote so far" rule.

@hayhor But if he was Plat 4 then he should've been demoted to Silver II, not Bronze IV.
