@Abaddon_NineWell they are equivalents to one another.The R301 and R99 are both low damage high firerate weapons.The Flatline and Alternator or both high damage low firerate weapons. Both with Horizontal recoil.Like the Flatline, the Alternator need a damage buff to 16 or 17.Many have refered to the Alternator as the Flatlines little brother.But I believe the Alternator could use a slight damage buff to help it.It recently got a magazine capacity buff, but I think that was the wrong direction.I know the Alternator is based on the UMP45, so it suppose to have a small magazine capacity of 26 Max.I believe tge Alternator could use a buff of 16 or 17 damage with a headshot multiplier 1.8.Making it the smg equivalent of the Flatline.I believe the R99 is based on the MP5/M4a1.Anyways I just hope respawn reads this and buff the Alternator to a slug throwing UMP45 equivalent.Also the Alternator sounds too scrawny. It needs a little beef to its sound.

@MandatoryIDtagIm just throwing out ideas.but I think a small buff to damage or spread could make the Alternator viable.Right now it feels good but like its missing something.Maybe a small damage buff, spread buff, or maybe headshot multiplier would do it. Its close to being good, but need that special something.-And that specail something is not disruptor rounds.- 😉

@hhnbbfggty66 Yeah it's definitely missing something! Also 100% no to disruptors lmao they were a hot mess. I meant a different hop up though, something to give the weapon a unique yet viable feel...i'm just not sure what that would be. 😛Ricochet rounds could be fun? Bank shots for days. :3

The Alternator should be the UMP-45 of Apex.

@hhnbbfggty66 That could be interesting. So based on your suggestion a DPS of about 166-167 a minute?

For it become competitive it would need to have havoc head shot accuracy.

@hhnbbfggty66 Didn't take a look at the stats, but doesn't the Prowler fit as a "slow firing, hard hitting version" of the R-99?
Or are you hoping for a slower, harder hitting version than that?

I do not think it's a terrible modification. It definitely should be a more viable end-match weapon to utilize.

R99 = R301
Alternator = Flatline

The damage could be 16 or 17.
I prefer 17 but im trying to be modest.

They could only change the damage to 17 and leave everything same and it would be perfect.

No 1.8x headshot, just 17 damage would push it too where it needs to be.

17 damage, 26 max mag capacity.
