Alternator damage: 16
Headshot: 1.8x
Magazine: 25+1, 26
Spread: low
Recoil: little to none
Firerate: 625
Selectfire: 2 round burst
Projectile: Slow 45 ACP, 950 ft/s
I do not think it's a terrible modification. It definitely should be a more viable end-match weapon to utilize.

R99 = R301
Alternator = Flatline

I'm aware, @hhnbbfggty66.
I'm not sure if you're insinuating that those weapons are "equal" to one another, or if you're just referencing the idea you are wishing to implement.

@Abaddon_Nine
Well they are equivalents to one another.
The R301 and R99 are both low damage high firerate weapons.
The Flatline and Alternator or both high damage low firerate weapons. Both with Horizontal recoil.
Like the Flatline, the Alternator need a damage buff to 16 or 17.
Many have refered to the Alternator as the Flatlines little brother.
But I believe the Alternator could use a slight damage buff to help it.
It recently got a magazine capacity buff, but I think that was the wrong direction.
I know the Alternator is based on the UMP45, so it suppose to have a small magazine capacity of 26 Max.
I believe tge Alternator could use a buff of 16 or 17 damage with a headshot multiplier 1.8.
Making it the smg equivalent of the Flatline.
I believe the R99 is based on the MP5/M4a1.
Anyways I just hope respawn reads this and buff the Alternator to a slug throwing UMP45 equivalent.Also the Alternator sounds too scrawny. It needs a little beef to its sound.

Yeah the alternator is definitely in a weird place.
I feel like the problem with it is that it has been designed to sit between the prowler and r99 in terms of power.
Any higher on the damage and it basically becomes a prowler, any higher on the firerate and it becomes a r99.
For me personally i feel like giving it a hop up was the right direction when disruptors was implemented...however we saw that brought a whole new wave of problems.
Perhaps a unique more balanced hop up would be an alternative method of raising this weapons viability? Or maybe just a 1.20× crit multiplier, making it more rewarding for the accurate user.
1.8x seems a bit excessive with 16 damage per round, as that's nearly 29 damage per shot.
Your proposed stats actually outpower a r301. x.x
