@hayhorIm in UK so nearest server to me. Its beyond a joke now, the preds must be laughing their * off, 3 of the top ten players in the entire world beaming on bronze and silver........ my "skill" level does NOTHING to suggest i should be playing anyone higher than plat or diamond respawn have absolutely tanked match making, its like a sick joke.
I literally cannot express my disbelief at how bad it is.
Oh if anyone thinks im not at all being truthful please feel free to look up my games (same in game nick).
*edit* I really do think respawn need to open a dialogue here and actually admit what a catastrophic mistake they have made, EU ranked is trash, they have borked it worse than anything they have ever messed up before. I will NOT be there guinea pig and bleed ranks, its not a slight mistake, its not a small error, its a stinker.
Respawn made some bad choices over the time. But this one takes the cake!
Have they changed squad matchmaking again?
I played about 15 rounds last night and in 8 of them, my two squadmates were downed in less than 1 second of gunfire and did close to 0 damage. All 16 of them would have had a combined damage of under 100. The worst squadmates I have ever had. It wasn't like this last week or the week before.
@aisthebestletterNot from what I've seen, especially for premade parties of 2 playing Trios.
Taking the highest skill rated player in that duo, matching them with a random (often lower skilled for some reason), and feeding them to premade Diamond/Masters trios is absolutely horrific. Even if your random is higher skilled, I have almost never seen them be able to carry that duo against premade trios.
My brother and I do the duo in trios thing and it is a horrible experience. Totaly ruins our attempts to play this game together and often gets us ticked off at the game &/or ticked off at each other. We'll disband and play solo and instantly have better matches, too.I had a win rate of 8.5% this season until last week. Now I am on about a 100 game losing streak. Wtf is going on.
- @aisthebestletter Matchmaking is still broken and hasn't been changed. All the sweats, smurfs, & cheaters are back for the run up to S16.
Nowhere I have found a slightest information about that they will take the team composition into the consideration for matchmaking.
This means that I (a support legend) Loba will be matched with other support legends to artificially prolong the game.
I am seeing this currently so I guess it will the same or worse.

Where does it state this? Will? Maybe that should have been could. How would 2 support legends on a team "artificially" prolong a game?
Lets see what happens when S16 hits, me myself I am honestly looking forward to all the changes. Lets give it a try before we start knocking it.
- @PsyhiX69 I assume you mean by banner crafting over and over? Do we know what crafting a banner costs? Do we know if it is unlimited?
I dont think this will be a huge deal myself. As the game progresses you won't have access to a crafter. And if materials are required there's even less possibility. 30 mats for the crafting the banner.
No idea if it is limited or not.
Respawn beacon is still needed.
As time goes on both become limited resources either way even if you have and or can craft a mobile respawn beacon.
I still do not see how this will prolong the game either way, since well, there is the ring and all.

I know exactly what you are saying i started play Apex season 13 and it was fun to play had a few wins mm was pretty decent but now its went downhill. Now i dont enjoy playing anymore my K/D is a .38 and im always going up against Pred/Diamond players WHY? They should not even be in my lobby plus im a bronze player. Match making is a joke and i only play on weekends.
- @jfpunky I've been there. KDR was 0.35 first season, S8. I've gotten better but my enjoyment is much better now that I onlybolay pubs and quit to lobby whenever I get teammates uninterested in playing as a team, are toxic, or just plain weird.
The matchmaking has been trash since I started. None of this S16 stuff will matter in the long run if they don't follow through on their blog post and fix the matchmaking. Their TDM issues with quitters are partially due to the crappy matchmaking but it is worse in Duos & Trios. @HappyHourSumwurWith this matchmaking is imposible to enjoy the game right now, specially in ranked. Just now i got a premade of Predators in silver level ranked and i usually dont complain bout it but this is getting out of hands. Having 1 solo predator is 1 thing but a premade should never be mix with solos, even more if they are highly skill.

You are proposing to group harass on some 9-5 game company employee trying to feed their family because you are not having fun on the free to play game their employer has made.

We keep blaming Respawn / EA about the MM but do we have any clue how much of the crap in it is there because of other players?
Streamer Noko said couple of days ago that ranked up to gold level is riddled with sweat smurfs. Above plat ranked is riddled with cheaters.
So is this EA / Respawn fault or is it the playerbase again that is causing these kind of issues?Is EA / Respawn doing DDOS attacks to crash servers? YT search "how to get Apex easier/bot lobbies" and you will find so many videos about how to exploit the system.
IMO If EA would remove the free to play from Apex and charge lets say $10 for account most of the issues would go away.

HisWattson stated ages ago how he can play 1000 games of fortnite without bump into a cheater and we all know what is the deal with apex they just greedy and lazy. @MindTrick85 Not sure what message are you referring to but I assume its the latest where I replied to a now deleted post about some creepo encouraging people to go group harass some poor EA engineers? Is that something you are after with the phrase "its EAs fault"? Dude you still remember when Hiswattson got banned from ALGS due dev harassment? Surelysurely he is getting the best possible help for his current streamsniper problem from the devs in comparison to likes of ImperialHal...
Fortnite comparisons arent valid as player numbers are totally different. In the previous 24h period Fortnite peak player count was almost 3 million simultaneous players. Apex ALL TIME highest player count is around 600K... On average Fortnite has 10 times more concurrent players than Apex. Of course you are not going to run into cheaters that much.
Also Apex has generated about 4 billion USD since its lauch in 2019. Fortnite makes about 5-6 B USD in a YEAR. And yes, their skins & events & innovativeness is on another level. In one of the previous posts I already said that they have totally different strategies. Apex has low risk-low reward strategy with small investments of recolors & made up events vs Fortnite has high risk-high reward strategy with licensed skins & massive brand events. So far the latter seems to be working better.

Has to be said though, innovativeness makes Fortnite playable for casuals without cheats.
There are so many other game modes you can play without having to sweat. In short you can have fun.
Apex is trying its best to be a serious competitive shooter. With limited options of Pubs, ranked & mixtape in the game many people trying to have "just fun" resort to cheating to not feel miserable after playing. Should Apex bring in custom PvE bot lobbies for the fun of it, IMO it would reduce cheating a lot. Like imagine BR match where you could set your own rules for a custom lobby against bots and/or friends. Take out Path Q timers and spiderman across the map. Or simple as not having to play your meta weapons & legends to get a kill every three games. Forget the EOMM/SBMM to make profits. Optimize FUN.
Yes, there is a chance the Apex will be shutdown by EA and we will most likely be sad about it.

Me, Ive had almost 3000h of COMPLETELY FREE entertainment from Apex which I am very thankful to anyone who paid for anything in the game to keep it alive for so long.- @Airish85 Dev harrasment is not cool on any lvl I agree with you on this one. I have 9686 hrs 55 mins playtime on apex showed by EA app, and I have spent a lot of money as well for this game, point is they don't focus on real issues that game has which are 99% cheating issue. Generally in business if you treat your customers like poop they will not comin back and that's the case here lots of players feel like they have been mistreated by EA not fixin or not even tryin to find actual solutions on ongoin issues, includin myself, that's one of the reasons I stop buyin' anything ingame content. I play fortnite ranked as well 1200hrs on that game and I have encounter 2 cheaters during that amount of hours. In apex this season you pretty much encounter at least a wallhacker in every single lobby you play. I love competitive gaming when it's fair not when u get killed by a cheater over and over again. My hiswattson statement was only bout' fortnite comment and I agree on that hands down. I can play 1000 matches of fortnite without a cheater. EA has multibillion revenue due to it's games generally so kinda lame excuse. If fortnite would have similar cheater issue there would be more cheaters as well so that statement doesn't make sense either. This season I played like what 5 games of solos in 2 of them I got killed by a cheater at endgame tells a lot about the state of the game, and I am not the only one who feels like it's dyin check all the YT videos from big apex channels... Sayin the exact same thing. Other modes don't even matter in this case if multiple preds are able to cheat on highest level without ban there's an issue with anticheat and that is a solid fact, you have to admit that is correct. They haven't worked on anticheat the way they should. I have seen this similar cheating issue on battlefront 2015 when game started to die it got overrun by cheaters and soon no one played it anymore, same happend with need for speed world. I loved apex seasons and seasons and seasons over and over but then somethin' went sideways it's like an artist lost his passion to paint they lost their passion to keep the game fun. They more focused if someone sayin poop in game chat than actually ban the cheaters with aimbots wallhacks speedhacks etc. This is also a fact.
@MindTrick85 Massive stats you have. I guess we are on the opposite ends of the player spectrum in terms of what we look in games so agree to disagree 🙂
Not denying problems with Apex or Anticheat. Me, I have encountered one blatant cheater this season. YT Apex channels show the situation at the top lobbies and of course it looks much worse if you only rely on those short clips. For casual like me the situation is clearly different.
Agreed also that EA input towards cheating is poor. I would assume since its neverending battle (ban some and new cheats roll in next day) they have accepted it as a unavoidable bad. Thats the issue with F2P that once banned they can just create a new account and back to playing in 15 minutes. I would have been probably be willing to buy Apex for some sum but then again it would kill the already small player base and the matchmaking would be a nightmare for a player of my skills.Its hard to get real stats of the cheating issues but below gives some input:

- @Airish85 I type the main points I wrote before as for some reason it didn't sent it and spent like 15min to write it... -_- I watch cheater clips from YT as well so it clearly doesn't give accurate number as you stated before. One thing that would make a difference is that lvl to play ranked would be set way more higher like lvl 100. I know some would disagree with this but it would resolve smurfin issue for momentary at least and would make harder to cheaters encounter ranked games with new accounts as well, before they find solution for fixin anticheat. Multiple ways to improve it they currently focus on wrong things like divided battlepass on upcomin season, instead spend that money on anticheat team and hire few more people that focus only on that issue. It would be sad to see game that we love die. I went master s18 s19 soloq s20 already started to feel lack of intrest to grind and this season is just a waste of time due the ridicilous cheater issue. thx for constructive conversation about ongoin issues on apex. I do appreciate it <3 There's a lot of ways to improve the anticheat as it's current state is a complete joke. Example if low lvl player has 5.0 K/D and most shots are headshots this could be easily monitored and yes of course there's high skill players who capable to do that but would be take less effort to manually check those players are they legit or not. I might miss few things from the post I spent earlier that didn't come trough for some reason.
@MindTrick85Respawn and EA are guilty of gross negligence with Apex. It's pretty obvious that the community is withholding support of the game because of this. They've done nothing to address the issues with matchmaking, cheaters, smurfs, aim assist balance, & server performance while implementing a series of over priced money grabs ($100 skins, collection events, new currency type, 2x battle passes per season, etc.). At this point they'd have to gamble an investment to fix all this in the hopes that the community would reward them later. The bean counters at EA are NEVER going to do that though. Personally, the only thing that would open my wallet again for Apex is fixing all or at least some of those issues and I know that isn't going to happen. We are on the slow decline and EA/Respawn don't have the guts to turn it around.
S22 ranked has been a tough one.
16-20 seasons my KD was on an incline for up to 0.89 or something.
S21 was 0.65
S22 I am at 0.3 and dont see no end to the decline on how the games are going.
Smurfs exploiting for kills and apparently I fell off the wagon on the skills department?
Or maybe the bot royale is also calculated to my MMR (that would be nasty trick now would it to justify that small PvE dopamine with instadeaths on PvP...)?
Yes, I keep ranking up in my bronze lobby regardless of the above but I dont like how the games make me feel.
I wish the ranked would have more direct feedback to the matchmaking.
If you drop 10 bomb in bronze lobby, you should be sent directly two ranks above.
Now the grindish nature keeps the exploiters in lower lobbies so long that its killing the interest in playing the game.
I would really like to just have even matches. I dont mind playing bronze forever. For me its all about the game experience.
Couldnt care less about BP or cosmetics.
