Just had another 10 games as a solo queuer, 0 kills and every squad mate knocked within 1 second of gunfire. This game just isn't fun any more. This has happened since the season started. I'll have a run of 10 games where I get 10-15 kills and then a run of 10 with zero or a few.
@aisthebestletterThat's how my season started, 10 games of me getting terrible teammates and then getting melted instantly in my first fight. It has been a little better, but 10 matches seems to be the magic number for MM to think about putting you in a different lobby. Of course, 1 good game and MM instantly puts you in a tougher lobby, too.
I’ve played this game since its release on console. Before ppl were sweating and ratting not knowing what this new BR mode was….
i’m a diamond player level but the old skool
diamond where it was actually a challenge and felt good to get there. (Season 8) i’ve jumped in and out over the years. Playing most seasons.
last season i was told it was easy to push to masters and yeh i guess it was as there are loads now but they’re gold players at best. Actual Skill level doesn’t match due to the rat glitch. So now i get paired with two masters who are crap. Where in the past i could have sat back and they would have won the match.
Every game i get. Team mates are poor. But have a “diamond/masters trail” but are not at that level due to last seasons glitch/rating to get it. So i’m stuck. I can’t be taking on partied teams of 3 alone…
For me.
Its one of the hardest seasons to get up in the ranks. The points metric is broken. I refused to be carried and or rat!!!respawn need to sort it out for season 19 or even mid way season 18….
as they’re losing their player base!
On the other end of player skill pool I can say that after taking season 17 fully off I have enjoyed playing Apex again. Started playing in season 12 with 0 skills prior (Unreal Tournament & Enemy Territory from 2 decades back dont count :D). MnK. Racked about 3000 matches before my break playing mostly pubs and having Win rate of 5% and KD of 0.4. This season after around 100 ranked matches I have been having great time with win rate of almost 10% and KD of 0.79. During the hiatus I played some other games like Assassins Creed + Aimlab to pass those quiet evenings after kids have gone to sleep. Nothing serious though. Would considered myself as below average aim with good tactic understanding. I have the patience of an old man (these youngbloods expect everything to be given to them immediately) and have been slowly climbing myself from the bottom up to silver 4. SBMM change worked for me.
Idk how they managed to make the game worse every season since s16 , like how bad do you have to be at your job to come with such a garbage mmr system lmao

I am playing the game since day 1. Now you finally succeed to kill my interest in the game... i have finished almost every batllepass and was passionate about game... I take a one month break when new season 18 started because your matchmaking sucks (NO, I AS A CASUAL PLAYER DONT WANT TO PLAY ALGS FINALS EVERY TIME WHEN LOG IN)... but your matchmaking in pubs and ranked is * ridicolous. Now when i came after one month break it is even worse because i lost my skill but have my MMR. I will never ever spend my money on EA games AGAIN. You greedy people just want to mess with casual player. Doesnt you see that you lost 1/3 of the player base??? You are losing me. Bye
The match-making in pubs is the worst it has ever been.
As a below-average solo player, I shouldn't be getting three-stack masters in every single game.
The games are so stupid now. After 1 round, you usually have only 3 or 4 teams left. All the other ones have been easily wiped out by the 3-stacks.
Why is Respawn only pandering to these people? If you have SBMM, masters 3-stacks should be playing among each other, not with less-skilled casual solo players.

A high majority of above average players are all complaining that the matchmaking is tight.
Im a Master-level player and the entire lobby (literally every dearth screen or deathbox is a 4k 20 bomb player). Every match. Not once in a while— EVERY match. Even my teammates are Masters pr Preds with 4k 20 bomb and usually with 8k plus kills.
Lower level players are not in my lobby. Lower level players are not in my friends lobbies.
Above average skilled players are indeed being lumped together. Lower skilled players have a safe space in pubs right now.
- @Axs5626Sxa5001 There are some escaping through to lesser lobbies. People exaggerate a bit and see it once or twice and suddenly it is every lobby.
