The OP L-Star

I like the decision that you guys made on replacing the devotion with the L-Star, but as im playing with the L- Star im noticing that basically the damage hasnt changed from when it was in the world carepackage. Although i do approve of the change the damage or projectiles needs to be slightly reduced by 10% to 15% the Lstar is so OP acting as a submachine gun. You can hold unlimited amounts of energy ammo and the projectiles are so big that its basically plastered all over your screen as in enemy. Also im noticing that you cannot put an digi threat on an Lstar like it had in Season 1,2, and 3....this needs to be a thing. So i would suggest add the digi, increase the time on overheating and decrease the projectiles size and damage like to at least that of an R-99

  • Every weapon is OP when get good shot, like shooting somebody from side or get standing target. Try hitting strafing wraith in 1vs1with lstar and then see is it op

@DankToliet Statistically yes but realistically the Havok tends to get more shots on target and the recoil moves quite consistently towards the head for those 2x headshots, whereas the L-star recoil keeps going into the stratosphere.

That being said I love the L-star in the new season, it's a wonderful endurance gun and a perfect secondary is you're using a sniper, I don't think it's OP but it's ability to work in those close quarters battles without reloading is VERY useful.

I think the only nerf this weapon would need is an increased overheat time, so that it's more punishing when you push the weapon to its limit.

I absolutely banged some squads off with this in the first round post drop.

But i get rid of it when come across a better weapon.

I wouldn't call it OP but it definitely can catch people out and slap in the early phases when people are still in the post drop and early looting / killing mayhem.

Don't think I've seen anyone flexing it past the first round.

  • I'm fine with the L-Star stats, it's the glaring effects of incoming shots that are aggravating since its incredibly hard to fire back when you're blinded by the L-Star's fire.

  • @BlazenSoldier23 I agree the gun needs a little Nerf. I downed 5 people in a row with it. It's way to powerful in my opinion. It's not like it can win all fights, but close courters it shines. I think adding a mag size would help it out instead of just being able to blast through people with it.
  • Eh, it's the only Energy SMG that is actually only useful up close unlike the other SMGs in the game.

With the crazy recoil while aiming, it's really only viable when you don't aim (unless you can maintain the recoil nicely) and its unique ability to not require to reload also makes it good.

Can't think of a nerf that wouldn't bury this gun. It's like a shotty, if you're up close, you're doomed, if you make some space, their doomed. I've yet to meet anyone who has shot me more than once from far while using it full auto and not just tapping the trigger.
