I am not sure what you mean. Would pubs just be a warm up for you? Why would it matter if an enemy would use a gun or the other in a warm up?
I think i kinda see your point. Would you rather have a single game mode and that would be ranked? I would agree with you on it.

Yeah I used to play pubs as practice before I completely gave up with rank. The thing about meta is it's affected by a lot of things. Lets say that they put Mastiff and PK in the carepackage. This would mean they'll take out 2 guns and add it back to ground loot and those 2 guns can change the meta. And if the meta in pubs is different to ranked then most of your practice in pubs would be meaningless as you'll be used to pubs meta not ranked meta.
I don't think people would like to have ranked mode as a single mode now as some people like to chill and have fun and that might not sit well with people who want to tryhard.
