it doesn't need to be fix, if you don't want to get a penalty then dont quit.
Respawn can do what every they like with their game if they don't want you to play because of a penalty that is their decision. its suppose to be punishment. What is the point of an abandonment penalty if you can play the game.
It's fine the way it is it's been like this for over a year now, why change it ?
Dont like it then don't quit. their is already enough player quitting out of pubs anyway no need to hurt the player base because of toxic player like so many on this forum.
That mindset is trash. Most people I see leaving a game in ranked is when they've already died and they don't want to sit around watching their teammates debating on whether to get his/her banner or not. Sure rage quit is a thing but at the same time you don't want to sit there and watch. It's annoying. I've definitely been a victim of that many times. If the person decides to leave when they've already died they should be allowed to leave without receiving a penalty. Them leaving without giving their teammates a chance to revive them is penalty enough because they're doing it out of their own accord to lose ranked points and on top of that accept that they're losing extra for abandoning. If you're solo queuing in ranked, you don't want to have to sit their and watch your teammates. You just want to play the game. So when you receive that abandonment penalty as a solo, its annoying cause now you can't play anything else that apex has to offer. Especially with arena as a thing now, sometimes you just want a break from the BR and go play a different aspect. You shouldn't be prevented from playing that let alone the shooting range. The shooting range would be the last thing I'd expect to be locked from playing with a penalty.
