- @lnxtvv Do you have any response to the responses you were given to the video? Do you understand that person likely was not cheating?
I've wondered about this myself.
A lot of streamers don't even bother picking up a ranged weapon. R9 is all they need. They keep that thing perfectly stable even at range which seems unfathomable to me. I've spent a lot of time trying to master that gun but I'm still not good with it at even medium range.
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@Sand_spitter What no one understands also is that people a lot times play on higher ping them self. Just to lag and have the advantages of not being easily seen or shot near warps in front targets. So to blame the lag on servers when there are many other things it could actually be is what weirds me out. Unless he has seen the stats on the server and the cpu and gpu stats where they are then blaming a server is a assumption.
I see every day people who have either crap internet or higher pings just lag for that advantage, Ever notice how a lot big streamers who are actually on the NA region of the world and yet go play japan servers? There is a reason people do this. I've heard about this, Zeus mentioned that he practiced on high ping. I can see it being beneficial to perhaps force you to react quicker as the game gets harder the further away from real time you play. So going back to low ping servers with your new found reflexes should take your gameplay to a whole new level. Makes sense.
But what I don't get is why someone would choose to play on a ping so high that they start teleporting.
I usually feel / see myself when I'm skipping and I'm having just as much of a problem playing as my opponents do. I used to play with a friend in UK and she not once saw me teleport or skip at a ping of 200.
The whole lag thing is melting my brain and there seems to be many reasons for it aside from just bad servers. All I know is that it's really bad on Apex especially and I would like to have it gone but I know that's not gonna happen :D
- @Sand_spitter High ping doesnt give an advantage. I play EU servers a lot and can tell you this is what I see 20 ping vs 130 ping-
High ping takes longer to open things, pickup loot, etc.
High ping also means enemies see you first. So they many times will start shooting you before you realize they are there.
The one advantage high ping sees is you are shooting at someone after that person thinks they have taken cover so one or two bullets strike them. - @Sand_spitter Oh and teleporting isnt really ping for me. That is packet loss. I've had speed up crap on 20 ping and 130 ping equally.
this is spectate player, for you is normal r99 control? if yes, i declare myself good for nothing.....or i wrong play game, i return to arcade
- @lnxtvv Looks pretty normal to me. Mastering recoil is part of the game. You're just fighting with the controls to keep that little dot on a moving target. The more you do it, the better you get at it.
For sure man, agree 100%.
What I meant was that high ping gives you a disadvantage to a low ping player bc like you said they see you 1st. Zeus played like that deliberately (200+) so he would be forced to be better so when switching back to his low ping servers the game would feel a lot easier for him.
Agreed. Although I do notice more packet loss with higher ping on the server selection screen.
I dunno man, 130 sounds pretty low for what I'm used to :D I'd take that any day!
