HiI come to announce that this game is over for me.It ended because it is no longer possible to play it.Why do I say this?I'm 49 years old and I haven't played FPS for a long time and I discovered in APEX the pleasure of playing again.This game is fantastic, from its mechanics to legends and maps, everything was perfect.But now it's over...It's over, because the emotion of being hidden in a hiding place and the opponent other than the Bloodhound discovering us has already been lost.The emotion of making an approach and being able to surprise the opponent was lost.The thrill of winning a duel was lost.All the excitement of playing this game has simply been lost.Possibly the problem is only on the PC platform, but it is impossible.I dare say that more than 50% of the players on this platform always know where I am.This game had the merit of bringing together an uncle and a nephew to play the same game, with emotion and intelligence, making strategies to win.All this is over, my nephew rightly doesn't want to play this game anymore, which is no longer random and has the law of the most cheater.That's enough for me, I no longer feel like playing a game that was extraordinary...Old_Gamer_PT

@EA_Darko I think more of what @Old_Gamer_PT was getting at, is that the game dynamic has changed drastically since launch, with the addition of so many (essentially) wall-hack/scan legends. In the early days of Apex, when Bloodhound was really the only legend capable of revealing your hiding spot, one could outwit enemies chasing or searching for you. I have many memories of the early days before I got my buddies on Apex, dropping Skulltown with my random jumpmaster, fighting until my mates were eliminated, and then hiding and sneaking my way out of Dodge, and into the final circle and sometimes getting us the win. I've been within a foot or two of enemies, without them having any idea I was even there. Nowadays though, you're almost guaranteed to have at least one scanning legend on each enemy team, effectively rendering that entire method moot.

We walk in this endless cycle, so there is no solution.To date, there has been no solution, and I think that there will no longer be a way to get around this problem, so that's enough for me.

Reveal meta is stupid. It’s not hide and seek, it’s Halo radar. The ring handles hiding in any BR. What the reveal meta does is ruin tactics. And it is lazy on Respawn’s part.Having said that I’m 53 and going to be Diamond soon. You can still enjoy this game to me and ruin your awful opponents playing alone. It depends on what you want.But yes this game is very different. I used to main Wattson and had to give her up because Respawn trashed defensive characters and favored reveal and height achiever characters. They won’t change because, I suspect, they’ve now painted themselves into a corner.Try Valkyrie. It’s all the rage.

@dSKyNafinchin Nope he's definately saying everyone is a cheater which isn't true. As you say half the character have some sort of scan now.OP if you want a hide and seek game I'd suggest warzone. People love their buy station camping kills. Apex was never meant to be that. One warning though- That game has way more people actually cheating. It's so bad all my friends that played it daily stopped and came to Apex.

@hayhor Gotcha. I'm going to say I don't really mind hiding in a ring game, again, because I think you get flushed out in the end. Probably this has to do with the quality of your enemies too...you just can't hide and win only in Gold+, you're going to have to get kills. I mean, sure, if you want to tag Gold IV and stop, maybe, but you aren't going to rise through gold.
Now, what people call hiding (not you but what I see here) is basically anything other than running straight at your enemy with your R2/fire button held down. And then they get mad at you for 'camping' 'hiding' and 'third partying' when they get killed by, you know, bad play. And I guess that would be fine if, you know, I was like super young and totally my reflexes were my best resource as a person. Yeah, sure, then you know I'd favor the small box room with no cover hot drop and draw, best reflexer is left standing.
But Apex, and frankly any half way decent game, should involve strategy. And strategy does not mean 'pop your head up out of your trench and start shooting' No, you use cover, you rotate, yoj move, you pick your engagements and yes, as part of that equation, get kills.
Old Apex had much more strategy. It had less characters and less levels, but way more strategy. That all started changing, I'd dare say, with Horizon. Horizon meta was a problem. She was nerfed. But then they brought Valkyrie in.
And then they brought the Circus show that Seer was in.
Past that, even with Seer nerf, it's been ridiculous and not fun for people who think as much, imo. Now because I personally am a glutton for punishment, apparently, I stuck with (though I really came close to splitting and definitely looked into other games to spend my time with). The saving grace so far has been the way scoring works now, it makes much more sense. So even with all the reveal and height meta, you get rewarded more, not perfectly but more, now for doing what you are supposed to be doing...getting kills AND playing smart.
I can't control Respawn and this Original Poster is making the right move if he wants to change games. I haven't found a better one myself yet, but that doesn't mean this one is in an awesome state. It's better, is all I can say. And, I just wanted to make my own counterpoint which is you can be old, and, you can be diamond.
Beyond that, I'm not sure. Not with my PS4. I mean, at some point, a controller hits it's limit....NO WAIT AUTO AIM WILL CARREE MEE TO PRED! :P

Especially when about 1/3 of your audience during peak times either have no business playing with most people or are cheating. During peak hours this game is an absolute slog through the mud. Yall gotta make exclusive lobbies for sweaty people.
