This season has officially broke me. I'm back playing Fortnite.

I never thought I'd be playing Fortnite again after my first go around season 2 of Fortnite. I thought Fortnite was a childish game that only 7 year old kids play (which, might still be true, but regardless). But you know what? Season 11 of Apex has officially broken me to the point of jumping back on a game I considered a childish meme.

...and you know what? I'm having the most fun in a battle royale I've had in years!

Maybe it's because Fortnite has a solo mode, so I don't have to deal with the random squad trash I get paired up with all the time in Apex.

Maybe it's because the Fortnite map has a wide variety of locations to drop to, so you don't have the entire server dropping in one damn location.

Maybe it's because the weapons are simpler in Fortnite, so you can find a good gun easier than going through a dozen supply bins and buildings to only find one Mozambique if you're lucky.

Maybe it's because the "chidish meme theme" I associated with Fortnite is actually fun, with collaborations from all over the place, like Marvel, The Matrix, Star Wars, etc.

Maybe it's because the "just build" I always associated with Fortnite isn't as bad as I remember, and building has saved my butt a few times, mainly just being able to build a ramp up a mountain so I'm able to escape the storm, unlike Apex where if you're cut off from rotating, you're done.

Maybe I'm just sick and tired of the nonsense I've been dealing with for the past 3 years in Apex. Maybe I'll come back if things change, but as of this season, I'm broken beyond repair for this game.

@jokool_aid Have a good one. I'm quite sure it's burnout. I find playing multiple games is keeping things fresh.

I’ll probably try fortnite again if the rumored “no build” mode comes.

@hayhor Likewise. I rarely stick to one game at a time. I'm currently playing:

Apex Legends
Halo Infinite
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (oldie but a goodie)
Farming Simulator 19 (still)
GTA Online (since launch, and still not tired of it)
Jurassic World Evolution 2

I haven't played Fortnite since Chapter 2 started, but someone on here recently told me the new Chapter 3 map is actually pretty fun, so I need to get back on there and run a match or two in the near future.

Also, I heard that someone out there in the Twitter-verse has discovered a full set of achievements for GoldenEye 007??? Are they finally going to make this happen? The last attempt fell through due to licensing/rights issues, if I remember correctly. Definitely looking forward to that one, if it ever sees the light of day

@Cheese9Man Say what? I never got real good at building on there, so I might have to give that a shot, if it ever comes out. I hit my shots for the most part, I just got out-built 99% of the time

@jokool_aid Same here, but tbh I'm just a sick of fps in general, occasional Black Ops is fine by me. Red Dead Redemption is still a go to but personally I can't wait for Elden Ring next month.

@dSKyNafinchin I started the halo campaign yesterday but only had time for the first mission. I haven't played a halo campaign since halo 2 so hearing the music excited me by itself.

I also play BF2042 and Rogue company now. And I have an inexpensive golf simulator on the way. Curious to see how well it works. I've seen good reviews though.

@hayhor I mainly play Apex since I don't have as much time as I used to, but I've also been playing Gundam Battle Operations 2 kinda sorta (just completed the tutorial 😂) & also trying to finish Need for Speed PS4 before moving on to Payback. Also plan to finally start God of War this year lol.

@Lord_Scorpion34 The progression system in NFS sucks so much man. You need to open apex packs to upgrade. Lol! I heard that NFS heat is really good though.

GoW is a masterpiece.

Haven't played Fortnite though I don't mind it.
But I have been playing Back4Blood, which is an excellent game, a better team game, and that's including bots (because though they are bad AI, they still make better team mates than Apex pugs)

@Cheese9Man NFS PS4 is ok. The video capture acting is what's cringe about it 😂😂😂. I'm sure Payback sucks as I've heard a lot of negative reviews about it. It's basically a F&F game by looks of the story lol. Heat is also waiting in the wings lol. I can only download so much to my PS5 til I get that SSD upgrade lol.

@Lord_Scorpion34 You know you can play ps4 games from a basic USB hard drive? I've done it on my ps5. They tell you that you can only store them there and have to move them back but that's a lie.
