That's the only complaint I have about this system & why I was looking up a post like this because why do I die if I got out in time? The timer should have reset or something as soon as I got out. I really hope that someone at Respawn sees this and looks into it.

The time out of zone accumulates. It doesn’t reset after you get back into zone, and then inevitably get caught in it again.
When you get two far circles back to back, with teams camping the edges, it can take forever to get into zone. If I manage to make it back to zone, I shouldn’t be punished by some arbitrary timer.
It’s not the biggest deal, but it doesn’t need to exist. It was a bandaid for a botched season. That season has passed, so time to remove it. Clean the game up whenever and wherever you can.
