Vikkstar quits Warzone due to rampant cheating. Three people I know - not including myself - quit Apex over this issue, which also plagues this game. If you think you can save money because some suit at headquarters (who never played a FPS in his life) says so, you are ultimately going to be wrong. And being wrong means dead game, in this case. I know there has been some effort to curtail high end win - trading, but frankly that's not nearly enough. Break out the proverbial wallet. Spend whatever it takes to make this game as close to hacker-free as it can get. It will pay for itself -- perhaps many times over -- over the life of this game. The longer you think Apex Legends is going to stick around, the more important this becomes. But really, if you want to live up to your "pledge" that you will protect your "community" you can stop every non-cheater from the daily abuse by cheaters.

@Yosenhimen I agree both games have issues with cheaters but Warzone is off the charts compared to this one and has been for awhile now. That stim glitch people have been doing was a glitch 6 months ago that they fixed and then reintroduced. Then you throw in the OP or glitched gun rotation they have. I cannot believe people play that game seriously.

@YosenhimenPC player? Most PC games suffer from rampant cheating including games like Battlefront 2 and Battlefield V.I saw a video from JackFrags talking about it. He keeps having to give up on live streaming BFV due to hackers following him and trashing the game with aimbots and wall hacks. He was playing on PC, and even mentioned he considered switching to console since it basically doesn't happen there. His solution for the hacking and cheating was to implement so many layers of protection that it makes it too much of a pain for hackers to deal with it. Also, aggressively go after sites that sell cheats.

2 of the top 5 apex predators have been banned recently due to hacking if I'm not mistaken. Respawn needs more hideouts or a better anti-cheating software. A week or two ago, I PM'ed hideouts to report two teams teaming and he didn't even bother checking the video. I'm sure he's getting thousands of reports but we need more people with the same job as him.

@Yosenhimen Warzone doesn't even has an anti-cheat LMFAO. Apex Cheater situation isn't that bad.

@BaldWraithSimp If you DM someone in twitter, you can actually see if he has "seen" it by clicking on your message. He didn't.

If 2 of the top 5 preds in PC have been playing for so long that they reached that point and only has been banned a week ago, then that's saying something about the anti-cheat system in the game.

@Cheese9Man Hideouts has turned off the 'Read receipts' option most likely(99.99 %) so you can't see if he has seen the message or not. The option is under privacy>Direct Message>Read receipts.

You're correct, though. This isn't a job for one man. Apex Legends is huge, and even if he has all the best intentions and does work diligently (which I have every reason to believe he does) he still can't deal with it all.

The suits - or whoever else is calling the shots - need to stop being stingy and just shell out the money to put an ironclad anticheat in place. Even if its multiple programs.

It can be done. Look at Dota 2, WoW, or Rainbow Six. God on R6 they annouce every ban throughout every game, every server.

@hayhor I'm more surprised that people actually cheat in that game. CoD is streamlined to be the perfect super casual shooter. Imagine being so bad at a game that requires 0 talent that you have to cheat. It's genuinely laughable.

Riot Games' anticheat is actually really good but it is invasive on your computer. Unfortunately it's either cheaters or having a program run on administrator privileges on your PC 24/7.
