@DraelthYou really think it’s healthy for the game? Especially when it comes to player retention or attracting new players?
Under normal circumstances a team of lower level players might go all game without encountering a high level team until the final ring, and by that point they could have all crafted red armour and have a decent chance of winning the encounter if they’re smart and stick together as a team, or maybe all the high level players have wiped each other out at this point and the final fight is between two or three similar skilled teams
Now imagine if every time there was even the faintest sound of gunfire every predator squad with 100’000 kills between them all hoped on a trident and wiped the floor with the lower level squads before they even have a chance to reload
One of the aspects of a BR game is a large map that takes time to traverse, you could go games and games only encountering one or two other squads, a perfect mix of survival and traversal with each team constantly on the move to get to the next ring
If you have fast vehicles with unlimited fuel then you lose not only all sense of urgency to make it to the next ring, but also it gives teams the tools to travel across the map in no time to join in on fights they otherwise wouldn’t have encountered, making it impossible for newer players to have a fair fight without every pred squad in the area joining in
I’m not saying remove the vehicles, I think it’s really fun to travel across the map and they have got me out of some sticky situations before, I just think there should be limitations, a fuel reserve maybe that once used up you can no longer travel in the Trident and now have to get out and make the rest of the way on foot, this would stop those super aggressive teams trying to get in on every single fight in the game
