did they become not good suddenly or the low and medium tier player become better ?
- hayhor5 years agoHero@maximas1986 He is saying that because the lobbies he is in have really high skilled players. This means those players really know how to play. They can laser beam you and always take good position.
I believe EA believes the sbmm putting similar players together means that winning should average out between levels but it does not seem to do that for the OP.
I think a huge part of winning tho is playing in squads with people you know and I think this means even more the higher the level you are. - 5 years ago@maximas1986
This problem existed before the TTK change, and is more of a negative consequence of SBMM. Because the SBMM tries to always match you against the most competitive opponent possible (while cueing with friends), players of all skill levels are winning at close rates. If you try to improve your skills to win more consistently, the SBMM algorithm matches you with even stronger opponents and this results on more losses. In this fashion, it no longer benefits players to get better for more wins.
The TTK reduction makes it even harder for skilled players to win, because they have reduced the player’s ability to defend against an opponent just standing in the corner waiting for the skilled opponent to walk by. Defensive movement was a dimension of skill and they just reduced some of that dimension.
Just to be clear, I don’t think the TTK reduction alone is as horrible as people are making it out to be. I just think that paired with the aggressive SBMM, the game is absolutely miserable in above average lobbies. This isn’t an arena shooter where you respawn after making a mistake— this is a game with long wait times and players with decent aim absolutely melt you for the tiniest mistake. Make a casual mode without SBMM so I can go back to enjoying the game. - 5 years ago

did they become not good suddenly or the low and medium tier player become better ?When you reduce TTK you take away from the time players have to correct their mistakes and fight back. So now good players die more often because their is just a little bit less time to react to things.
I understand that pro players are frustrated about this, but it's good for everyone else. Also it works both ways, it's much easier for pro players with insane reaction times and aim to instantly melt anyone who is not on their level in a direct engagements.

No amount of fast twitch response will save you from one or two lesser skilled players pre aiming and waiting for you to enter their crosshairs— so the absolute skill ceiling favors those players using that strategy.- hayhor5 years agoHero@Axs5626Sxa5001 This. Before this season I rarely got killed by squatters waiting in corners of buildings and stuff. It has happened more this season than all other combined.
It has a warzone feel I dont care for. Warzone you have to creep around the map and it kills any real movement.

And I really cannot express to you how grueling it is in high tier public lobbies. I have pretty good aim— 30th in the world for headshots (with path). I’m currently on a 60 something game losing streak and my lobbies are still 60%+ preds. I literally wish I could drop you in these lobbies so people can experience what it feels like. Respawn didn’t get my money for the battle pass and they won’t get any more money from me.Is this how they want customers who have already spent money on the game to feel? Or do I not matter because they “already have my money”?

all I'm gonna say on this is that I had a champion squad player with 162 s6 wins the other day.
I would love to know his opinions on whether TTK is bad and if he's struggling as a result? 😛
