I'm surprised more people don't talk about the second one, because it also seems to affect the way aim assist behaves. This becomes extremely annoying because of what you mentioned - not only is your sens completely different depending on the ALC settings you have, but the feeling of aim assist is also slightly different depending on your settings. Another related issue is that aim assist is noticeably weaker with ALC settings, which is common knowledge in the community but has still somehow not been given any attention by Respawn.
