"You didn't do anything. The game did the aiming for you..."
Please pick up a controller and at least try it for yourself before you say things like this.

Agreed, go to firing range, place your reticle 10 feet or more beside the dummy. Then aim down sight. You will see your iron sight doesn't move. It doesn't magically move towards the dummy. Now try it from half an inch away from the dummies head. You will find it still doesn't move. You all think on controller that you simply hold aim and the gun just magically goes onto the person's body.
Give your heads a shake. Like Reconzero said - try in out first, you'll find you still get your a*s handed to you. Now go into PC lobbies and try - you'll find the same result, only your opponent will be harder to hit, as his strafe side to side and spam crouch (duck master pros) will be almost twice the speed you are able to do on your controller, never mind the broken tap strafe movement that just looks ridiculous that controller players cannot perform period. Not even the best player in the world can tap strafe on a controller (console). It is impossible.
Trust me, I would be just as happy to have you out of my lobby as I am sure you would to have me out of yours. It boggles me why anyone on one system that can perform movements that others cannot on another system would be pitted against each other in the first place.
- 3 years ago@NickBeam27 Ok, lets flip it, if aim assist is so insignificant to the actual controller skill then i challenge you to turn it off completely and see how you get on.
Also, as your skill with a controller increases the benifit of aim assist becomes cumulative in relation to your ability, i think thats why its so difficult to set the aim assist to a level that is comparative to M&K as your controller skill increases so does the benifit of aim assist.- 3 years ago
There was a Dev post a ways back explaining how they determined prior to cross play, to make PC M&K equal to Controller. Why was this test needed in the first place?
It was needed because without argument M&K out performed controller 100%. Hence after they ran thousands of simulations, they found that AA @ 0.6 equaled out M&K vs Controller. The word is equaled out, not advantage, or better or superior.
Mouse is pin point accurate, with more speed and can rotate left and right up and down faster than controller with much much more precision. I have turned it off and it feels like linear aiming. Its a train wreck. However it does not track for you, it doesn't move on its own, it doesn't snap to target or anything even remotely close to it.
We will never see eye to eye on this as these AA vs M&K threads are endless without ever a end in sight nor a resolution. We can only agree that we don't belong in the same lobbies.
