Valk's Scan Doesn't Always Work
Just got out of a match where we thought we were landing alone & a squad was on top of us. Valk's scan didn't pick them up.

@Lord_Scorpion34 Was the valk looking around? It only picks up enemies who’re out in the open and if they are in the FoV of the person. So if that valk was looking down and the enemy team above that valk, it won’t detect them
@Koochi-Q That's not 100% true cuz when you drop & people drop behind you it picks them up. It also picks up people next to you.

In the dropship you’re basically clustered with the other 55+ players. If you drop and someone drops 1-2 secs behind you, you still get a notification. Why is that? Because of the FoV and because of latency. Even if your FoV isn’t seeing them, the game still sees them in your scope because you jumped reasonably close to each other... but players who jumped 5 secs after you, you won’t pick up because they’re too far behind to scan even if you look at them.
I’d say try it 😈 I tinkered with dropping and looking
