@hayhor ah, I see. I didn't read your last comment properly. I see what you mean, there is a way to counter that attack by not moving and using a shield cell, but it does not mean that character is balanced or fair.
The Wraith comment was that you, as a top xp contributor was routing for her nerf, while it was never necessary to the extent we saw. In fact it actually hurt the game. So what does that tell us? Valk is fine with obvious flaws yet you say nothing because you play her? I refer to topics xp bc it means people agree with you. That either means the community can't run their own game or it means that upvotes are meaningless. Personally I always thought upvotes held some sort of weight.

@Sand_spitter I don't remember being that vocal about wraith getting nerfed but let's look at what it was like before she got her hitbox change. She was picked something like 33% of the time. The next highest was around 10%. That indicates a character is the most broken there can be. They first nerfed her disappearing but we all knew that would not matter. Her hitbox and run style made her by far the hardest character to hit in the game.

@hayhor That doesn't mean she's not broke. That can mean those other characters are broke too.
In fact, I'd say the top 5 really show who Respawn is super favoring and how much they have taken a massive dump on Defensive characters. You have to have just been born to not know that mobility, height, and knowing where people are, are the most important things you can have for a BR/Shooter short of an aimbot. So when you go make characters that move faster and are harder to hit, get height, and know where you are, you're completely off your rocker for thinking you don't have to mega buff your characters.
ESPECIALLY if your character's ability helps a team.
It's disappointing, really, how Respawn does things. Like someone said, I'm all for buffing the bottom tier, but you have to improve half the characters in this game to even matter, or, you know, you can nerf a few.
Wraith is a perfect example not that Valkyrie isn't broke, but how broke a mobility character is. It took way, way too long to nerf her to the point that she is in range of the other characters and she is still a major pick because that is how much her phase matters.
Pathfinder sucks for number of abilities. It's just that zip line is so good in this game, even with a long cooldown, it's fantastic. It moves you the fastest in one moment in the game. Octane is just a pain in the rear end, and was my most hated character until Seer showed up.
Respawn has done a bad job at balance, I think it's pretty clear. But this really is about Valkyrie, and frankly, she's quite up there in picks and needs to be reeled in. No stun, and no reveal, remove them.
@KelRiever did you try her above gold on the new ranked map after the animation cancel Nerf? The animation cancel Nerf really took away some of her omph (idd say the animation cancel wa proper broken on her), so she's not as dominating as an assaulter as last season but she can be very elusive in some situations. Take a better look at her statistics she's dropping now and had a small climb with the giveaway and is back to droppin
Now if you use her passive you cannot cancel the stupid salute like you could before and you risk getting killed before you can draw your weapon even if it's a burst. She's very good gold and down but try her above and you'll see she's not as good as you claim anymore, previous season she was for sure an S legend now I'm not sure if she's A or S. I'm not saying she's bad I'm just saying the resent Nerf she got took away much of her power. On the current ranked map her ult isn't as powerful as s11 since the map is much tighter and it's easier to punish by a good team in most areas, but ofc in some areas it's really good when you are able to use it. The ult will be more powerful best split if we get kings canyon.
@KelRiever Why are you even surprised mobility legends are the most picked ones? Do you really expect people to play passive in pubs? Or to pick Wattson or Rampart and go inside a house and wait until last zone? People wants to chill and have fun joining multiple fights in pubs, and mobility legends are the best way to do it. Surprising yeah?
And it's time to stop using pick rates as a reference to their strenght (with exceptions of course). Crypto is one of the less used legends in the game but it doesn't mean he's bad, actually he's pretty strong. Same goes for Gibby or Loba.
Oh and by the way, using Wraith's phase correctly is not that easy, i've seen lots of people use it not efficiently.
I do agree that some defensive legends need good buffs and that Respawn has made some big mistakes but this doesn't mean Valk or movement legends are op.
@Cro I disagree with you less than I think you might imagine. Normally, true, you cannot necessarily go by pick rates but in this case you can.
And yes, you're sort of saying what I am in a different way, with some disagreements. Mobility characters are always going to be biased until something else sinks in. But Respawn, knowing that, doesn't balance for that. And that's really the problem.
There's a difference between popular picks because they are mobility characters and popular picks because they are just outclassing the rest, and much better. We're in the latter part. Now, I would say Gibby is no, not strong. No character is useless and a good Gibby (or anything) character can prevail. But you for sure are rolling rocks uphill with him. Crypto...I'd say not. Namely because, again, you really need a team to work well with him (part of the low pick rate, tho, for sure is all characters who work better as a team tend to be ignored), but I'll give you an 'you got me interested.'
The point is about Valkyrie though, and frankly, she is OP because she does so much. Mind you, again, I love her, but she's still OP. She needs nerfing, and/or a lot of other characters need more buffs. Including Gibby and Octane (as a quick aside, why do Valks tac missiles do 25 damage and Gib's ULTIMATE does only 40? You cannot justify the wider area of damage when you have a 4.5 minute charge time. And both stun :P )
@hayhorYeah I know, they could have stood her upright like a normal human being (instead of running around like a troll) and fixed her hitbox and that would have been plenty, instead of running her into the ground.
I just feel like the Valk situation, like the Gibby situation was, in terms of being vocal, was too little too late vs Wraith. Are you kidding me, if your squad is losing she can just fly away, with all of you? That is rediculous and you know it. Anyway, it's pointless now as it seems all new characters are breaking rules these days so whatever, the next one will probably be invisible so...
