Valorant got like 600K+ views on twitch as of now.Since it's a different genre than Apex has to offer, I can't comment much. But people could switch for whatever reason.Judging by the pace, to me the gameplay is very slow, players literally 'walking' around and camping on every corner, kinda reminds me of EFT but EFT got that realism aspect in it so it makes sense. Compared it to CS:GO, CS got a faster pace, easy-to-learn mechanics, and makes more entertaining to play. I would be so bored playing valorant solo. Never played Overwatch so I can't compare the two.

@bosourd At least the devs are better than respawn. Didn't see any kind of loot box mechanic, 128 Hz servers, smooth gameplay and they also promised everyone will have a good ping and no advantage for people who are lagging. Everyone has a different taste, so I can't comment on that. I definitely liked the game. I love Apex, but Respawn is just busy making money instead of improving the gameplay experience. I might call it quits when Valornat launches.

So right out of the gate the dev's behind the game are known for doing things right in terms of competitive gaming. We know their hitreg and netcode will be on point. That should be the reason everyone is excited about this game. Now saying that, the arena style CS/overwatch type of game play is kind of meh to me. The special powers kind of different hero's or in Apex's case Legends has become quite the turn off for me. We see the revolving style of balance that plagues these games when OP powers need tweaks and nerfs. I don't mind different guns, don't get me wrong but abilities that have to be "balanced" tend to get annoying since everyone who plays it just plays all the toons that are OP, character selection just gets made fro you around that to stay competitive. I think I just want a game where there are no special abilities or perks that need this kind of cycle of game development.

Looks like an inferior Dirty Bomb except in that game you can sprint, jump off walls and graphically looks more appealing compared to Valorant from what I can tell. We'll see if the twitch hype holds up in a few days.

@bosourd I saw an ice wall that seemed to be a blatant copy of Mei's ability in Overwatch.

Overall did not look appealing to me in the least bit.

@BaldWraithSimp EA is greedy and it's not a secret anymore, Respawn just got in the wrong team, as much as I hate Respawn, they created something new & unique, just like Fortnite and so on. Valorant may seem better and promise you with a lot of things, but they took so many main aspects of the other competitors which is a turn off for me, and they got the head start to fix the flaws from those aspects, but there is no originality as far as I'm concern.

@bosourd If it aint on console for beta day 1, but for pc it is, why would I play it at all? 'Look, we care about our console community so much that we are going to let them have benefits five weeks after pc players have them' is a stupid way of thinking. They had a year to prepare, you can't use the 'lack of time' excuse. 'Console is the worse platform' is how you drive away 40% of a games potential playerbase. 'Just buy a pc' Yes of course why didn't I think of buying a $1, 000 PC to play this one game, and have lower quality than I would on a $500 console.
