Vantage - give me some insight

Started using Vantage recently.

(Not sure why I'd switch from Ballistic when having such good success with him, but hey-ho)

How does her sniper ult work?

It seems to do 50 damage - but if I hit someone twice or 3 times with it it usually downs them.

How much damage increase hitting someone with it add?

Also... anytime you aim with her Sniper or generally with a long scope does it add that massive laser sight? I've seen it when playing but assumed it was the Machine-gun legend? 

Does her sniper shots sometimes tag enemies without actually hitting them or doing damage?

Her tactical isn't as usable as I'd have liked it to be. I'd have hope it to be. Would be good if it could work without facing it.

    @1ronKeys I think the 2nd hit is 100. I tried her and hated the bat mechanic so much I'll never try her again.

    The Laser is her sniper laser sight much like Rampart (the machine gun legend).

    Damage from her ult is 50 on the 1st shot 100 on the second and 150 on the third. It also marks the hit player for about 10 sec's and teammates will do more damage when hitting the marked player during that time. 

    "Does her sniper shots sometimes tag enemies without actually hitting them or doing damage?" No. 

    Her tactical takes practice, practice, practice, it can be used to push, change angles and as an escape mech as well as getting to the ring faster. 

    Spotters lens is great, I find it works best with no weapon as you have a 2x built in but with a wider view.

    @hayhor Yeah the batmechanics are a little annoying.

    If you wanted to throw bat out whilst running, then jump, by the time you jump you're only probably 10m away.

    I've definitely found ways for it to be useful, sometimes transferring from one elevated surface to another is quite handy. Sometimes I feel I may be wasting time trying to organise it all when I could have got there manually in the same time.

    It can be a little annoying to place too. Recalling and accidental recalling can be frustrating also.

    I did wonder. Because I get a LOT of knocks with her Sniper.

    Does tagging someone with it also increase damage Vantage deals to them after? Example Vantaga snipes them then switches to another weapon?


    I find it really bad that using an ultimate accelerate only adds 2 bullets - I feel it should fill it 100%

Yes it does, if it was a shorter ranged shot you can run and push, use the bat and push or other teammate abilities (Jump pad) to push faster and swap to a different weapon to finish them wit extra dmg shots. 

    I agree with the UltAccel not giving enough. 

    On the bright side she originally was released with one less  shot with the sniper ult and they recently tweaked her a bit and gave her one more sniper shot.

    The thing to remember about the bat, the thing no one ever seems to talk about, is that once you use it then your position is known. Personally I try to play a stealth game and that little rodent up in the sky is just a gigantic arrow pointing at me and saying to enemies, "Right here, boys. Shoot HERE."

    *SCHLAPPSHHHH*** broken shield.

    Then they scurry away and I finish them off.

    One thing that's interesting to me...

    I always considered myself to not be great at sniping in Apex.

    However 

    With Vantage I seem to be outsniping other Vantages and holding my own and dominating at range.

    It's quite fun.

    Vantage just rocks.

    According to Apex Legend Status I am currently in the Top .68% of PC players for wins, top .85% for Damage and top 1.04% for kills.

    @Asmodeus566 Amazing!

    My KD with her is probably lacking - but largely put this down to poor teammates dropping horribly - so many games I start with no weapon.


    But I'm comparing her to my Ballistic stats, I'm on course to be ahead on wins, but down on kills.

    I definitely get a lot of knocks and assists with her. But I sit back a little... but close enough to help my teammates. When other Vantages poke their ugly heads out at me, I always seems to come off better and tell those imposters to go back into hiding!


    Where do you find all these stats by the way ?
