I would absolutely pay to be rid of cheaters. In fact, I'd buy more skins too!
That's always been a bane of F2P games: cheaters can just make another account, almost indefinitely.
Games like Dota 2 are an exception, as the game generates so much money that their anti-cheat funding is virtually unlimited.
However popular Apex Legends is on PC, the future is grim unless the cheating can be curtailed. It's still far, far too prevalent,- @GE_AmbivalenT I always wanted to see peoples views on this but didn't think many would be onboard.
Honestly though if the cheaters become a bigger issue, than I'm up to pay $5-$10.
Wouldn't prefer this option but if it must come to it than ok... I would pay $60, full price. Immediately.

Turning a free to play game into pay to play is plain suicide, especially now, when more games follow the freemium way.
They could try Apex 2 with a price, while also based on a different, newer engine that's build from the ground up to meet the high requirements of today and face the modern threats. This would take years though...
Another solution against hacking is cloud gaming, but this currently suffers from huge input lag. Again, this needs a couple of years to get better.
Origin could add more credentials requirements, to prevent banned players from creating new accounts, but many people don't feel comfortable to share their data, while the added liability would probably not be worth it for the companies involved. I wouldn't mind logging into Origin by using my fingerprint, my card or even social id, if assured that my data is secured safely. But even NASA and FBI get breached every once in a while, so...
