This is common and not surprising. I would take the advice. I got stories that would blow your mind though.

Discord is one of the programs advertised as safe, but is exactly the opposite. It may sound bonkers, but it's happening.
Worse part of it is, the Discord devs know about it, yet do nothing to prevent API's or other malicious means from being used. Then gaming Devs who know very little about the gaming market, promote the use of Discord, and feed hundreds of people to a market based around stealing others information.
I'm honestly shocked that Discord is still a thing.
Bumping the thread back to page 1. Since it's now the weekend hopefully more eyes will view it, and more people will recover their accounts.
