Weapon Spotlight - Spitfire and RE-45

Would love to see the RE-45's ammo capacity get a big increase and balance that out with stronger recoil. Would see it as a more attractive option than the R-99 and Peacekeeper for my close combat weapon.

Spitfire feels balanced. Tough to use early on without attachments but amazing once fully kitted. Have to agree with others about the hip fire being a little too accurate though.

When you drop into Kings Canyon and the Spitfire is in the first building you walk into though....

I like the RE-45 when I don't have an R-99. If it had a few more bullets, that would be great. If not, balance it with a slightly faster weapon swap time. I feel like if you have a pistol, it shouldn't take forever to pull it out.

The Spitfire still does well after the nerf. It makes it like the other weapons - you have to get the attachments to make it great. I like that aspect. 

The RE-45 is great, maybe an extra bullet per stage. Leave the recoil.

The Spitfire is ok. Like the R-301 it could do with a better reticle for hip fire, I find most guns cloud the field of view too much when they are just iron sights. This could be improved.

It would be good if we could equip attachments on the shooting range. The guns in the range feel better than they do in game. Could you add a few targets to move for practice. A legend that jumps, one that zigzags, one that goes left, one that goes right, one that ducks and goes for cover....All on repeat.

I like RE-45 but it is hard to counter enemy who wear armor due to its weak shot damage especially in the late game , so I will swap it to R99 or R301 if me have that chance . Anyway in a game of heavy packet loss it is a reliable weapon .

I feel the hip fire of M600 spitfire is hard to handling than before after it got nerf , do you change the recoil ?

I'll take the R99 or R301 over the Spitfire anyday, don't like it.

RE-45 with a littler bigger mag would be nice.

R-45 needs some more ammo. I think it needs a spread buff too. It bad when people get armor and you need to headshot much more. Better pistol than the P2020 though. I won't even pick that up. 

When I use the Spitfire I'll take a high ROF as a secondary such as a R99 or a Prowler. There's a couple of reasons for doing that. One is that the Spitfire benefits from a barrel stabiliser and while I'm still looking for one I'll look for a secondary that will increase my overall ROF fire because the Spitfire need the stabiliser to sustain longer bursts accurately. Once you have a stabiliser the next problem is the long reload time of the Spitfire. This is where a high ROF secondary comes in handy to add a big punch when you're running low on ammo on the Spit but don't have time to reload.

I always take an RE45 over a P2020. I rarely choose it over an Alternator because the Alternator is a good way of carrying upgrades instead of filling up needed inventory space early in matches. I haven't as yet played a single full match with a pistol as a secondary or main weapon. It has occurred to me to try that, though. Sniper rifles and DMRs are the obvious choice as a mian if you're going to use a pistol as a secondary and the only pistol which makes sense then is the RE45. If in that scenario you took a Wingman instead of an RE45, I think the load-out would be powerful in the right hands, but would ultimately be a poor choice as carrying two single-fire weapons doesn't make sense to me.

I like the way that there is a contrast between all of the guns in Apex at this time. They each have a character of their own which makes them feel to the user as though they are realistic.

If the RE45 was turned into a laser beam it would seem silly, I think. I can understand an ambition to increase its viability as a secondary for the whole matche, but because Apex involves scavenging, there does have to be a sense of needed to get better items.

I love the RE-45 in the early stage of the game.

No one with armour and just looking for loot, it melts players really fast when hitting most of the shots.

It doesn't need any attachments to be effective but begins to feel weak when players have armour or heavy guns.

I would nerf the fire rate of the RE-45 a tiny but as you can clip someone down is just one second.

Now the spitfire 👿

I really should use this gun more.
When fights turn into a chaotic mess that's where the Spitfire shines.

I use it to punish people when they over extent in fights and this weapon is deadly from mid range.

For me its one of the best weapons against the peacekeeper because it doesn't allow players to come closer without getting massive damage.

The recoil is fine but is to hard to be accurate to keep hitting players at long range.

Overal is the spitfire in my top 5 of weapons.

How about a Suppressed RE45 with the gold barrel
