Weapons from Titanfall 2 that were left behind
I'm a huge Titanfall 2 fanboy, and was very thankful when Respawn reused almost every weapon from the good old days.
BUT! There's still a few weapons that still haven't made it into Apex.
Here's some of the weapons from Titanfall 2 that i would like in Apex.
(The damage numbers are of course going to be changed if they will ever come to Apex, since there's a MASSIVE difference between Titanfall 2's and Apex Legends' HP system)
Volt - is an AR with pretty high accuracy, medium range and a decent fire rate. it has a magazine size of 33. I personally think that the magazine size should be around 20 and can, of course, be increased with a bigger magazine. I think Volt should use heavy ammo.
CAR - is a SMG (Kinda fells like an AR) with high accuracy, medium range and a high fire rate. I personally thinks its range and accuracy is a little too high for a high fire rate SMG. It has a magazine of 30. I think it should start at 25 and then work it's way up to 40. This one should use light ammo.
Now, i want to talk about something i know is going to get a lot of critism...
In Titanfall 2, there's 8 weapon Categories:
- Assault Rifle
- Sub-Machine Gun
- Light Machine Gun
- Sniper Rifle
- Shotgun
- Grenadier
- Pistol
- Anti-Titan
And i actually see a lot of potential in Grenadier (aka: Grenade Launcher)
There's 4 Grenadier weapons:
Sidewinder SMR - "Rapidly fires micro-missiles" is like an AR that shots bullets that make a really small explosion on impact. Really slow travel time.
EPG-1 - "Single fire, direct energy propelled launcher" Yes, single fire, really slow fire rate, slow travel time, high damage, explodes on impact and a very small magazine.
R-6P Softball - "Adhesive grenade launcher" It's the average grenade launcher that you kinda see en every shooter that has a grenade launcher. Decent travel time, medium bullet drop, sticks to the service that it hits, including players.
EM-4 Cold War - "4 -Round Burst Grenadier Weapon" This is possible my favorite wapon, of any game. It's so, dumb. But when you learn how to use it, you're unstoppable. It has a decent travel time, medium bullet drop. It shoots 4 energy bullets that explodes on impact. In Titanfall 2, you need to hit all shots near a full HP player to kill him.
First: I think that only the EPG-1 and the R-6P Softball should be added. Sidewinder SMR can be used as a main weapon against other players, but it's like a 50% Anti-Titan weapon and 50% primary weapon. So i think that a the Sidewinder SMR is going to be confusing and frustrating weapon in Apex. The EM-4 Cold War is best used when you're wall running (Which Apex don't have. F you, Respawn), or when you have decent high ground which is almost never the case in Apex.
Second: The Grenadier weapons should be in the Legendary category and should only be obtainable in normal airdrops (Non-Lifeline Airdrops)
Third: The Ammo type. Here i have a few ideas:
1.There would have to be added a whole new kind of ammo added: Rockets. Which is going to be a chaos to balance.
2. Their ammo would be limited, just like the Kraber and Mastiff. (This one seems like the most balanced option)
3. Since the EPG-1 is a"Direct energy propelled launcher" it would make sense if it required Energy ammo. In this case, one bullet should cost 4 energy ammo, and have either a magazine size of 12 (3 shots) or 20 (5 shots). I'm not going to suggest what its damage should be, since i'm not very good at that.
And the R-6P Softball: I don't know what already existing ammo type it should use, since it's kinda just shoots grenades (And that's the problem with #3) "The ammo could be normal frag grenades" No, don't even think about it!
And, yeah. That's some of my ideas for the left over weapons from Titanfall 2. I know that there's still the L-STAR (LMG) but i've never really used it in Titanfall 2 so much, so i don't feel comfortable talking about it.
