Hello!
I'm not a Predator nor a Master however I do hit Diamond practically every single season (expect for this one because I haven't played that much).
So the way that I look at ranked is like this, bronze, silver and gold lobbies are pretty much all the same with gold being that tad bit harder but I mean its literally just a tad. When you get into Plat especially early on in the season it's very sweaty because the game style completely changes. You can no longer run around like you are in a pubs game running into buildings or trying to 1v2 squads as it just will not work, you also have to remember that Predator and Master level players and squads are still present in these lobbies due to the reset and they are at a significantly higher level than every single team in the lobby.
My advice is always to make sure that you are in a pre-made squad. This makes life so much easier and you just have that slight edge as communication from Plat upwards is key.
Ideally, you want to rack up some early KP (2+), you want to grab a 3rd party mid way through the game where you might grab another 1-3 KP and then you want to focus on getting a good position and making it into that top 3.
What you need to remember is you are capped on how much KP you can get, so getting early KP is very good because you can chill and relax and focus on where the game is ending, your route to make it there and then you don't have to worry about getting kills.
Always note that if you have 1-2 KP and there is 4 squads left you HAVE to fight again at some point, so you'll get more KP you just need to be patient.
If you're solo queuing in Plat then follow the same process but you just need to be more selfish. You don't always get good teammates, so if you have your KP early doors and your teammates are playing like fools then go off on your own, play the boring slow game but at least you will be progressing. It's called 'ratting' it's not the most appealing game play but it just needs to be done at times on this game.
Diamond lobbies are a complete game changer, they are so hard it's practically like you are playing a completely different game because you don't have the time to miss your shots. Everything has to be so precise. If you can solo queue out of Diamond then man, you are a seriously good player.
This is the best advice I could think of, if you have any more questions let me know! 🙂
