What are the chances of you getting an heirloom in Apex Legends?

I've spent a decent amount of money on this game. I've always bought Apex packs so one day I could get a heirloom, but that day still hasn't came yet. I've bought around 200-250 packs and still noth...

@PangPangSheMen The apex pack pack calculator is third party software. People use it to guess or track the number of packs they have opened, so they can get an idea of how close they are to the 500 pack guarantee.

@DarthValtrex Ok thank you, I was wondering why there was a percentage, I thought apex packs stacked where 250 packs opened = 50% for heirloom next pack.

@PangPangSheMen Nah, it would be really hard to set up an RNG that functioned like that. They would have to be removing prizes from the prize pool.

It's simpler and easier for Respawn to just do it this way. The only way they could increase the odds of getting heirloom like you suggest would be to remove items from the loot pool once you've received them. But instead of doing that, they give you crafting mats. So the odds always stay the same. Basically they would have to lock those items on the RNG and force it to skip up or down one item until the player had unlocked everything. There are numerous reasons for not doing that though.

  @DarthValtrex Okay, I thought the odds were 500 for a guaranteed one (which it is) but I thought it functioned like because its 1/500 and it stacks every pack opened when you open 500 packs it would reach 500/500 and thats how you guaranteed a heirloom, I thought it was that easy to the point where just spending 100 dollars increases the chance big enough for a heirloom, but it turns out the odds don't stack and its much harder then I thought lol. Thank you for the clarification

    @PangPangSheMen No, as explained earlier I think, per pack, the individual odds are far less than 1/500. You are supposed to be automatically awarded one on your 500th pack.
    I think some packs don't count towards this total though. There are a few here who are level 1,000+ who still don't have one so it's a long road potentially.
