I tried to search for this, but apparently there isn't a release schedule or tracker of any kind. This means the devs don't even know what they're doing. (Which is evident in most of the hitboxes and client side files left wide open, UBISOFT style!)
It's unlikely but have I missed a post or a site that shows what will come after System Override or is just back to the same old grind without any incentive beyond what the players have to take into their own hands?
Respawn doesn't release any information about coming events & legends just to create the hype at the right moments.
Most content is months in development, for example, world edge was being developed before Apex was announced.
They know what they are doing but no news doesn't mean they aren't working on exciting new things.
Also, some information is given to the players but we don't know it yet, for example, the crypto banner in the Pathfinder art was a teaser to the S3 release legends but nobody knew until more teasers were dropped.
(Evo shield was data mined in season one and revealed this event if you want more examples)
Respawns new modus operandi seems to be to wait to see what content data miners leak, and then do not deny said leaks to allow the hype build followed by a 180° bamboozle switcharoo and we get something different instead.
So basically take anything you read with a pinch of salt unless it comes directly from respawn. 😛
Another period of nothing followed by another heirloom sale, then nothing again, then another heirloom sale. Then a new season adding a character and weapon. Then nothing for a while, then another heirloom sale, nothing again, another heirloom sale, new season launch, nothing again, heirloom sale again, more nothing, another heirloom, time for another season launch, then nothing again.
That's pretty much it. So to sum it up. Season launch followed cosmetic sales. Then season launch again.
What did fortnite do aftter they destroyed there map? Probably do something similar
Imo apex is the best BR but with warzonee being out that will put sales down in future events forcing resawn to act and do what they should be all along
Season 5 maybe.
We had a road map for 4 seasons and would certainly hold interest to have a second after their ''successful'' first year, if there was anything new added.
Otherwise I would fully expect what @Wingmannedbro said.
Maybe there will be another heirloom event before S4 ends. What we can be sure about is the well known bugs and server issues will not be fixed.
