@Sand_spitter well... playing 14+ hours a day is a good way to do that. I’ve been in such lobbies... believe me when I say that 15+ is for ‘normal length games’ and for most it’s 19-24 min. But these guys are pounding 8-13 min matches. How do I know? I was there once.
Heck when ppl first started talking about match length and I saw the average was around 18 mins I was shocked cause non of my matches up till that point were longer than 15 xD. Now that’s a whole other story... (this was preseason to season 2).
When I was playing around 10-15 hours a day then I would averagely win 1 in every 5 games. My record in 1 day was 7 or 8 wins. I still wasnt on their skill lvl tho. So seeing them do 10+ isn’t that off or odd for me. But you’re right tho... 1K+ is definitely fishy...
- 5 years ago@Koochi-Q Yeah sure, I see where you're coming from. But wouldn't they be matched with players just as good? If that's the case I don't see how they can consistently keep such a high win rate. SBMM would make sure of that.
Now, if you, hayhor, and myself know of such players and we've all played in their lobbies what does that mean? Are they playing in our lobbies or are we ending up in their's? I can only speak for myself here, but I'm nowhere near good enough to compete at that level, probably never will be. I believe there is an exploit where pre-made squads can end up in lobbies that are solo q and/or mostly lower skilled. And I think that's very likely what's happening here. SBMM is being bypassed by pre-mades and those squads just rip through the lobby in no time. There's a ton of these vids on YouTube for a reason, and if you find yourself in the right circle of friends they'll happily let you in on their little secret.- 5 years ago
One thing I forgot to mention, when it comes to online fps games a lot of it just depends on who's 1st.
1st to shoot, first to re-load, 1st to see the other person pop up on your screen - which is why ping is so important.
This may go hand in hand with what's happening here; players with the best ping would simply be better on average. Combine that with an already good player and you can build up some crazy stats, sure. But these ridiculously high win rates simply don't add up - if you're that good you might as well go do it professionally and actually get paid a lot of money doing it, but we're not seeing that. I mean, some of the best streamers and pro players don't have stats like these, because their lobbies are insanely hard, yet here we see it in a random pubs lobby? lol
- 5 years ago@Sand_spitter Definitely true but I’ll let you in on a secret on how to get as pub stompers to get into lower skilled lobbies; ‘Respawn’s take on SBMM randomness’ XD. Seriously, I haven’t played well since S2 if I’m honest. If you saw how I played then vs now you’d be shocked XD. Factors are that I learn faster than most. Either in games, education, learning new skillz etc. So right out the gate I kept having high kill games & frequent wins but I also played 12h a day on average in first week and roughly 10 hours a day for first month XD so my skillz were sharper than my farts XD.
It had SBMM but not like this of course so it was all across the board, just like now but I found that I got placed in the lower brackets rather often and thats why I hated winning and went for killing instead to get the fun back... Also why I got an average of 5 requests a day for xbox friends XD.
But yea now it’s basically the same... The top players get put with lower. When playing premades I get put with Masters & Diamonds with 4K and 20 bombers... when playing alone, everything from plats to masters (which is just fine) but looking at movements I know they’re not the average players XD.
Thats the best I can offer actually... If you look at a thread that was all about fastest times, you can see matches close to 7 mins... while my fastest was 7 as well xD.
Lastly you can always do stuff to your connection to get an advantage...
