@iBlockHeadWhat rank are you? I play with a lot of randoms. I’m sure if I played on teams my stats would be better. I also have a thing for running at gun shots.
@DarthValtrexD4
I think I just play a lot because I can't be demoted, but I also do bad about 40% of my games because the others are usually in a party together and mainly follow each other, leaving me behind while I'm still searching for decent armor.
I just make sure I finish off all my kills once I down a player. Sure I can use them as bait but rather kill them, take their armor, and than chase after their teammates with fresh armor.
Since 99% of the time I play solo, I've managed to just get better at movements (slide/duck spam/jumping) and it helps a lot.
Also since there's only a few days left, that could explain why I do not care anymore for my rank games since it's going to get a soft reset soon.

I'm sitting at 1.89, playing with randoms does not help.
My son sits at 3.70 something.
He steals all my kills.

@Jimmahwd unplug his remote. 👿
- 6 years ago@iBlockHead Yeah nah, it's just the way we play.
I'm the bait do the damage he comes in a finishes the job. - 6 years ago
I'm on 1.44 playing with like 50% packet loss on a regular basis....imagine the possibilities if i upgraded my internet haha.
- 6 years ago@MandatoryIDtag Then you would sit on 1.0 kdr since crappy connection makes you harder to hit target :P

1.2 Currently, was 3.1 For the first 6 weeks of S3 when I had teammates. Since then dedicated to randoms. Solo ranked from Silver to diamond and payed the price in stats not going to lie. It sucked,, but I am glad I did. I get to keep my trails this season.
My aim and gameplay hasn't changed, but having people who can't rotate a circle, much less understand the concept you don't want your squad fighting in the storm has hampered my KDR. It is just a number and while it tracks something, what is more important for me right now is finding some redeeming value in playing this game. Dropping solo on capitol has become my new way to enjoy this game, 1 game away from having my triple/triple badge or whatever it is for 3 squad wipes. Really wish they would bring solo's in permanently.

@Srksii My pings fine, its my packet loss that's through the roof. The disadvantage is purely mine. 😛

Try to use VPN - somehow it helps to remove pocket loss. (The ping gets a little longer, of cause)

@MandatoryIDtagI sort of feel bad for you, 50% packet loss.. I’d lose my mind... if you were a neighbor I’d probably share my wifi with you. Speaking of wifi, anytime I find an open printer listed on my wifi I start printing random things from the net.
it only took one of my neighbors a month and dozens of news articles and advertisements to put a password on his/her printer. No idea which neighbor it was. I wonder if they ordered the Chia pet?! Or tried the anti-aging creams?! 🤔

???
You need to kill three full squads in a single game for triple triple. Can't stretch that out between games.
So far i still somehow didn't get it, I ended up losing to the last player of the third squad a bunch of times.
- Gabrielmojo266 years agoSeasoned Ace
Total kills; roughly 7k
Total wins; roughly 280
K/D is somewhere around 1.5
Solo q'd since day 1
If both teammates leave, I usually run to an enemy bobbing up and down to give them a free kill, I have no interest to 1vs3 enemy teams.
Never really attributed much importance to K/D, hence why I do enjoy the badges.

@DarthValtrex yup haha, hit a record of 62% packet loss last night which was finally my breaking point.
Upgraded to 150 mbps internet last night so just waiting for that to be installed, will be refreshing to be able to play the game smoothly. XD
- DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@Wingmannedbro That or my squad mates kill the third. I think that’s why it’s so difficult to get.. i also psych my self out and end up trying to hard because I know I’m close to getting it.
@WingmannedbroI tried for months on my mains path and lifeline but couldn't get it then used caustic for a day and got it straight away. Triple triple with only 16kills...

I may be misinterpreting it then it says I have 2/3. Honestly in game I just see 9 + kills I check after game to see if I got the badge or not. I figured it was 3 squad wipes in 3 separate games.

Yeah it has to be in a single match. I feel it's only really possible when you end up alone since teammates will typically always get at least 1 kill on the enemy team.
- 6 years ago@Wingmannedbro Or if they truly suck your teammates get bullets off, but get downed and you kill the enemy... thats how one battle went for me for my last Triple Triple requirement... 2 times in a row my teammates got downed by 2 enemies while I had to kill all 3...
I knew it was 3 squad wipes in a game for sure, but I thought it actually was doing the 3 squad wipes in 3 separate games as well hence the 2/3 that is currently on my badge. That I hope doesn't muddy the waters.
On the original subject KDR is kind of misleading this season. My interest points to damage per kill. I have downed a lot more people than I have killed. Which in theory should be typical, but having played mostly with randoms I have left games with 1000+ damage and 0 kills just for the mere fact I spent most of the game fending off third/ fourth parties and could never swoop in and finish anyone. Whether it was bad position, teammates down or what have you. This season has definitely been interesting in knocks compare to kills, I don't even want ot look at the numbers tbh.

I have always cared about KDR in previous shooter games I have played, but Apex is the first game I stopped caring.
1. If you queue solo, like me, you never know what quality of teammates you are going to get. And in a team-based survival game, your team has a huge effect on your survivability. Case in point, I had a game where I did just over 500 damage to an entire squad, but my teammates were of no help in this fight and we ended up dying. So if your teammates suck, it doesn't matter how good you are and it is going to have a negative impact on your ability to get a KDR that properly reflects your skill.
Also, I am very unimpressed by people with a high KDR who constantly run with other high-skilled players. If you are running with a stacked squad who can each hold their own, your KDR is going to go up because it is going to be easier for you to survive gunfights.
2. Knockdowns aren't always secured as kills. Example: You get 2 knockdowns on an enemy squad but then you get pushed by a third party and because you are weak from the first gunfights, the third party ends up killing you and finishing the other squad. And since you are dead, you don't get credit for those knockdowns which translated to kills after your squad was wiped.
3. Damage doesn't always equate to kills, because the kills are getting stolen by teammates or third party squads. Example: I had a night where I had 3 games in a row where I had 1200 damage, 1100 damage, and 600 damage, each with 0 kills. And it wasn't until about 300-400 damage into the next game that I finally got a kill.
This is why I would love to see trackers for:
Damage to Kill ratio, Knockdowns, Assists (plus plenty more unrelated to this post)But to answer the OP question, my KDR is somewhere around 1.2-1.3. It dropped quite a bit during the first half of this season.
