@EA_David its just 0.99 cent for 1 month on xbox. This joining offer appears to give 10% off ea purchases. If I joined ea play would I then get 10 % off of anniversary event purchases?

If you sign up, you will get these discounts right away and be able to save some money on the event packs.
The event packs themselves are not discounted, but the apex coins you buy are.

Yes, I even believe that if you cancel your subscription after you payed for 1 month, you will still keep EA Play for the rest of the month!
