What's the best Apex Legend Character

There is no better one.
Their abilities are subjective and merely a means to create space between you and your targets.

There's no great offensive ability.
Or one hero stronger than the other, they all have the same damage output.

So basically it comes down to your own personal preference. 

The majority of people mistake the icons in the Legen portraits ( 3 bullets, a radar icon, medic icon, shield icon )
For example many thing Bangalore is theb est because her portrait has 3 bullets so she must be a damage dealer with improved damage, wrong. 
It's based on the abilities you have, abilities designed to improve your survival chance not your offensive abilities

Wraith is great for flanking and scouting or being lone wolf.

I only use her since my team usually ragequits and i end up solo anyway.

The one that lets me run faster when people try to snipe me. I think she does other stuff but that's pretty much better than everyone else's powers by itself.

That would be Bangalore @prankstar2 and you are right that she is great. A pro tip but if playing as Bangalore and under fire you can use the passive ability and slide to get away in no time. I find it a great move to restore health and/or shields.

Mirage has been my favourite so far because he's just hilarious in all honesty. His quips and general attitude make me laugh. I also like him gameplay wise more than the others because his decoy  is really good for multiple things. You can use it as a scout as most people will shoot anything they see so throw the decoy forward so you're not running in blind. It's good in the middle of a firefight when tensions are high as the decoy causes panic fire and it's even great for escape tactics if your ultimate isn't charged yet (The ultimate being an "OH SH*T" button for escape and such)
