Just a general question to anyone who plays, I'm curious what you guys have.I'll kick things off by saying...I probably have the slowest speed here. Just tested via Ookla's speed test to get an accurate number: 4.91 Mbps download, 0.83 Mbps upload, 43ms ping.And yes, that's as good as it gets for me, and usually is much worse, especially in game with constant lag spikes. On most days, the download speed is well below that 4 and usually hovers around 2 or 3 if I'm lucky, but I've had the download speed drop below 1 Mbps at times. Average ping in game is around 70-80ms, and can easily jump past 100-120ms if things get bad (had it in the 1000s before, no joke...). I'd upgrade, but I literally can't and my ISP is legit surprised when I tell them where I live because they don't have coverage in my area...which makes absolutely no sense to me, but I guess I'm lucky to even have any internet, even if it is the slowest.And before anyone asks, yes, this is via a wired DSL connection, not wi-fi. I have wi-fi as an option, and it honestly doesn't make much of a difference which one I use.

@Cheese9Man You don't need 300 mbps for youtube or netflix. 🤣 30 or 40 mb is definately enough for that. If you are getting lag spikes at 300 mb that is more about your connection quality, not speed.

@OldTreeCreeper The way its better is that it also shows the speed for different file sizes.Some internet providers trottle your internet speed down when sending lower files.That's why its my favorite, it detects the trickery of the ISP.

Was at 400 down 60 up hard wired. Upgraded to fiber 1 gb up and down. Still server issues with apex. Gotta love the it’s your internet that is the problem mentality. PS4 or pc I can see in game pings in the hundreds and lag everywhere. I always hoped they would address the servers or release tf3, but I have lost faith in both so there’s this.

My parents live in a very remote area and didn't even have dsl as an option. They had satellite that they paid a boatload for and best they'd get was like 2 mb download but it capped quickly and then they'd get .5 mb. But they now have some sort of antenna internet and it's a lot better. So hang in there, it has to come eventually.

Personally I get around 250mb down and 12mb up. My connection to Apex is generally good whether I play US servers at 25 ping or EU at 110 to 145 ping.

@jokool_aid When I’m at my dad’s house which uses Hikari (Fiber), our ISP is Docomo with 1Gbps which is enough most of the time. You can upgrade the plan to 10Gbps. I’m back in the Philippines with 300Mbps which is mostly enough for my Netflix/youtube needs. I still experience lag spikes from time to time.

@hayhor Yeah the service sucks in the PH aside from the speed and the lag spikes would happen during fights. It’s like they’re intentionally doing it. LOL.

@hayhor 25 ping is what I got on holiday via a wired connection. Usual 80 or so ping tonight.

I ask myself that same question every time I have to talk to their tech support. I think it's because it's through our phone company, which has their internet through some other office or something...idk.

@jokool_aid 105.4 mbps download, 34.9 mbps upload for me.
Also playing wired and I live about 2 hours away from my nearest data centre, rarely get congestion issues either as the area I live in is mostly rural.
With all that in mind I average about 20-30 ping in a match assuming the servers aren't being nutty.

@jokool_aid It's usually like 6-12 Mbps download, and upload is like 20 Mbps for me(fast.com). I get 120-130 ms ping.

This is my mobile data connection lol 🤐, no wifi available here
