i’m watching a lot of the professionally hosted competitions. there are some legends that are unseen. when are they going to get buffed? what’s the plan for some of these legends that aren’t seeing picks?some may argue that not every character is not meant to be competitive, but that sounds kind of comical. every character should be at odds. EA seems to be doing pretty well money wise, does it always take a whole season for changes? many other companies tweak balance changes pretty fast and they are at no equal level of spending power compared to the host of apex.

@Voidraker It's simply impossible to make all the legends viable in the same way. They've done a pretty good work at expanding the meta to other picks. Right now legends used even in competitive are a lot: Horizon, Mad Maggie, Newcastle, Crypto, Gibby, Caustic, Wraith, Wattson, Valk, Seer, Bloodhound and maybe Bangalore. And also they can't change the meta that often, teams need time to practice and learn what's the best comp for them. Otherwise if you change the meta every 2 weeks or month you'll only get chaos as a result, and tourneys would not be that enjoyable to watch and play. I think the way they are managing all the meta thing is good, last seasons we never saw Wattson or Newcastle being picked, now they are pretty common as an example.

Then they gave recon legends scanning so teams started running bloodhound and gibby as they wanted to play edge more. Comp teams will always migrate to the perceived meta. Take Seer. its every 3 months aka every new season. i think if yo upalyed enough apex legends you will know when they balance the legends.

3 months seems too long, anyone agree? most games do 2 weeks to 1.5 months.

@Voidraker It’s not 3 months. Balance changes happen at the start of the season and the x.1 update which is 1.5 months like most games as mentioned by you.

@Cro_Pittt Last night in ESA the lifeline team finished 3rd. Actually lifeline was quite clutch at fending off 3rd parties. TSM, running fuse instead of gibby won. I counted 10 legends used overall. It seems that the gibby meta is dead and its now Valk, Seer and whoever.

@Voidraker If by most games you mean COD, they change the gun meta every couple weeks to sell skins. They have 100 or so guns that they can continuously do it. Balancing a gun is completely different than balancing a legend.
