Why am I not improving in apex

Hey I'm just wondering why I'm not improving in apex in the way that I want to. I have been playing apex since season 6 and I have always wanted to do my best and improve in everything like in gun recoil, rotations, strafing and much more. I have watched basically almost every tutorial video to improve at dodging bullets use cover having good aim but even if I use it in my gameplay it doesn't seem to even affect anything and somehow I still get beamed. I will say that I do have good aim I can hit my shots pretty well and have almost mastered every recoil in the game could any one give me any tips on this? If I'm doing anything wrong or I'm missing something any help is appreciated.

    @InkBlaze02 From what you have said you have spent a lot of time learning how to kill people. That is really only half the game. The other half is understanding how to get out of fights and rotate/play the circle.

    Same boat here. Tried everything, nothing works. Recently I found out how horrible the SBMM is, so maybe that's partly to blame. I have not even touched BR mode in the last few days. I am only playing Arenas, where I am doing better. BR is just not worth playing anymore for me.

    I would try arenas but it isn't as fun as BR for me. And as for the SBMM that might be why but pro players play in the same lobbys as I do so I don't know if its just me or something else.

    @InkBlaze02 In everything you do there is a ceiling. Perhaps you hit yours? Or maybe you are improving but it is in very small amounts.

    @hayhor Yeah that could be it but then, I'm wondering how if I'm playing good how have I not made it to diamond I have been grinding for a while now and wondering how lower skilled players make it to diamond and I'm over here stuck in gold. Thats why I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong.

    @hayhor Thank you for telling me this I notice that sometimes I don't rotate in fights well and whenever I back out of a fight I feel like that is weak in a way but please know I'm not some player who runs in brainlessly into a fight I just don't wanna run from it and i wanna keep fighting.

    Could you give any tips on rotating and handling fights like that? I would really appreciate it.

    @AcidicSoda44031 it's actually EOMM. basically designed to make you lose by rigging your matches with enemies around your skill level and higher while having teammates much lower. it basically does this until it's "your turn" to win by either giving you much more competent teammates or slowly giving you lower lobbies until you win and then the cycle begins.

    @InkBlaze02 It’s entirely possible you are improving.

    Unfortunately you are probably feeling matchmaking. SBMM means you will almost always be playing your equal or better, so your improvements aren’t felt.

    People hate the idea of random matchmaking but at least improvements are felt by the player, as you will begin to perform better as you progress past the median skill.
