Why do my squad mates die in seconds?!
Seriously, almost every single match my squad mates die within 5 seconds of shots being fired. Is it bad matchmaking?

@swift07The 3 stack, I get. I have a decent PC (Core i5 12600k, GeForce 3060) and my pings are usually around 40ms. I just don't get it when I get destroyed in less time than I can even react. The game is supposed to be a long TTK but I only see it when I'm trying to kill people.
I'd actually spend money on coins if I had a more consistently positive or balanced experience. While the SBMM is so god awful, I just play for the 1 in 30 game where things feel right & I have some success. All the rest is just trash and this season has felt almost worse for me since I started in S8 with a 0.35 KDR. I've quit to lobby in pubs so many times now I can't even count because I die before I even know what's happening and I see my entire squad getting melted. F that noise.
@HappyHourSumwur I have an i7 processor, 3060ti, with 32GB of DDR4 ram. Fairly new PC as well with a lot of free space on both SSD's. With my set up, I don't really get destroyed before I can react but I do lose a lot of my shield and health before I can react. My explanation for that would be: they have a better set up and faster internet speed or they could be cheating. I don't think Apex has a good anti cheat system in place and also, it doesn't detect strike packs.
- @swift07 At least you're still alive. I'm dead before I know what hit me. So I guess everybody out there has $2k PC's and gbps internet then. I've got 600 mbps max on 40 ms pings and it doesn't make any difference 80% of the time.
I haven't seen this sort of BS since BF3. The 1 in 30 game where everything clicks and I feel like I'm playing against other real human beings tells me something is up. It is more than just a lot of people being much better than me...but that ticks me off at the SBMM because I should never be matched up against those guys. SMHWhen I insta die its one of two things- Headshots or shot by multiple people.
- @HappyHourSumwur I honestly feel like a lot of these people are using strike packs. That would explain how they're able to shoot so fast. Unfortunately, the current anti cheat is not able to detect them and doesn't look like Respawn is making any effort to combat it. It's been a known issue for quite some time and...its still an issue.
