Why do my squad mates die in seconds?!

Seriously, almost every single match my squad mates die within 5 seconds of shots being fired. Is it bad matchmaking?

@HappyHourSumwur I have an i7 processor, 3060ti, with 32GB of DDR4 ram. Fairly new PC as well with a lot of free space on both SSD's. With my set up, I don't really get destroyed before I can react but I do lose a lot of my shield and health before I can react. My explanation for that would be: they have a better set up and faster internet speed or they could be cheating. I don't think Apex has a good anti cheat system in place and also, it doesn't detect strike packs.

@swift07 At least you're still alive. I'm dead before I know what hit me. So I guess everybody out there has $2k PC's and gbps internet then. I've got 600 mbps max on 40 ms pings and it doesn't make any difference 80% of the time.

I haven't seen this sort of BS since BF3. The 1 in 30 game where everything clicks and I feel like I'm playing against other real human beings tells me something is up. It is more than just a lot of people being much better than me...but that ticks me off at the SBMM because I should never be matched up against those guys. SMH

When I insta die its one of two things- Headshots or shot by multiple people.

@HappyHourSumwur I honestly feel like a lot of these people are using strike packs. That would explain how they're able to shoot so fast. Unfortunately, the current anti cheat is not able to detect them and doesn't look like Respawn is making any effort to combat it. It's been a known issue for quite some time and...its still an issue.
