Gamers who use monitors/small TVs sit at less than arm's reach from the screen. Going from playing on a home TV to playing on a high quality 27" monitor changed my game completely. I'm an older player like yourself, and wear my strong reading glasses when playing. I can see SO much more than when I was on a TV. I would literally never go back to playing that way, I'd rather not play.

I walked away and realized I was thinking of a different forum member when I wrote that - sorry if I am incorrect but I'll just leave it.
It all comes down to preference, really. My young duo partner is light years ahead of my game play wise, and he plays on a giant TV.
