Why do viewmodels get bigger when you increase fov?

You are zooming out, the viewmodel should get smaller or stay the same, not get bigger. There should not be downsides or tradeoffs to higher FOV, what is the point? At higher fov it already becomes...

why are you trying to rationalize every bad thing Respawn does?
who says they deliberately decided to simulate this?

what if the viewmodel fov just scales poorly with the fov because they simply didnt want it to be zoomed out?

@fartnitepalyer Cheese gave you the actual reasoning and you proceed to insult him. Were you actually asking why it is like this or just complaining? Many people don't like the high FOV due to the fisheye effect. Apex isn't the only game that does this. 🤷‍♂️
