Why doesnt respawn raise the minimum level for rank?

I have been having to many smurf accounts lately in ranked. So a level 20 player has like 200 kills on one champion.
Why does respawn allow this?
Too many of my friends have given up on Apex Legends because of this. They would start playing and then in bronze someone would come and kill the whole server alone.

You need to raise the minimum level for rank to 80 or 100 for it to be fair. it would deter further smurf from just creating an account and ruining everyones games!!!!

@Heressy01 It doesn't take that long to reach that lvl tho so it's not really going to change anything?

@Heressy01 This is actually a pretty good idea. They would screw up pub lobbies only.

@hayhor I guess it would depend on what the average lvl is of smurf accounts?

@Heressy01 See, this is where I like to kill people with my main account. I like playing in Bronze and Silver even though I've made it to Platinum 4 seasons in a row. Smurfing is almost the same as normal play, except that people get mad at smurfs. But a higher max level is a good idea, just saying that it might not work and would probably get some backlash. I just enjoy making people expire (Gotta keep it PG) over and over again. :D

@GH0STEDbyME Well, then raise it a bit more. Some games I have played (and still play), have some kind of a mechanism which keeps you in the casual play for a while. Be it quests, levels or number of masteries.

@Cracjaw450 I am too always in plat. Been once in diamond but it was short lived. I get the appeal of going into bronze and silver lobbies to make it easier to kill and be less ''on edge'' through the game but it is how you make a new casual (potentially competitive) player from playing the game.

@GH0STEDbyME Yeah it would. I actually think that they should put a floor on the amount you can drop overall. Once someone makes pred or masters they should never ever be able to play with low levels in ranked again.

@hayhor Interesting concept. They've proven they're at a higher skill level so why not.

@hayhor Pred or master should never get demoted below Plat honestly, but that would require split demotion to be removed which Respawn likes to keep around. Cheers to another stupid feature!
