Why EA had to support BLM

IRL - Black lives matter and global riots.

Respawn - Kills Bangalore in every trailer.

Community - Why do you always single her out!

EA - We need to make an official statement.

I'm sorry but i couldn't help myself..😛

  • @KelRiever and @BigBlackCaustic This was just for a joke. 🙂

I'm all for controversial topics and discussions but can you kindly do that in another thread as I'm getting some good XP harvested here and don't want it to be removed and lose it. 😛

I just want to play a game without being subjected to someone else's opinion of

what is right or wrong in the world. There is NO place for it in a game and Im so sick

and tired of this BLM crap forced upon me when all I want to do is ESCAPE from all the real world

garbage by playing a game for a few hours.

Get your heads out of your * EA, this is not what people want to see!!

"Keep it game-related. We're not here to debate politics or religion or lobby for anything, so keep the conversation about our games."

That's EA's Terms of Service. They don't practice what they preach. They've clearly taken a stance towards a political ideology and if you're against that stance then you can get banned.

I think you are having a problem not understanding it isn’t political and not related to a political party.  Which I don’t really blame you for because there are two political parties who want very much fir you to believe it to be.

That’s the problem these days, every movement has to be claimed and fought against. Planting flags, not really appropriate when talking about supporting things that inherently have no party at all.

    But there you have it.

  • Well EA did more than just put out statement supporting BLM. From the statement they put out "We’re contributing $1 million to organizations dedicated to the fight for racial justice in the U.S. and against discrimination around the world."

I would generally agree politics should be left out of video games. That said, racism is not political and fighting it is not political, it's human. I would hope we would all agree that ending slavery was not political, it simply being a compassionate, moral human. Fighting racism is no different.

Hey, we'll lock this down. I know this was started in good faith @apostolateofDOOM and there are plenty of reasonable comments, but it's attracted posts that break the rules a few times.
