The headshot argument is sort of irrelevant, because you have to do 150-175 or 200 damage all through headshots for it to work. Any body shots are useless and will result in death. Yet Gibi can land one head shot and the rest to the body on you and you’re toast.
It’s ridiculously OP. It was a bad idea, you’re basically giving a legend 75% more health and minimal/nonexistent disadvantages. While the other legends abilities hardly come close to those kind of advantages. Toss in the dome and the ability to pop off a cell or two faster then other legends and it’s really OP
Compare wattson and gibi. Wattson Ult does not even come remotely close to gibis passive. It’s an extremely slow shield charge that makes almost no difference in a gun fight Unless you’re camped in a building and can deny access so you can sit there for a long period and charge.
The blocking nades is sort of mute because she can’t throw them, which does not really give her an edge. Toss in you can still lob nades into it, you just have to bounce them off something and they will roll in. About all it’s useful for is blocking gibi and bangs ult or camping buildings.
- DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@DoYaSeeMe True, but the issue is in higher skill lobbies it’s difficult to tag team the Gibi. Their team is working together just like yours.
He’s not invincible, I’m just saying when all things are equal (skill, armor, guns) he is hard to beat in close combat.
@IAmTheMeddler the thing is, the smaller profile legends take more damage. It’s also not that difficult to land shots on them. I notice no difference in bullet registration rates with a Wraith Wattson or gibi.- 6 years ago@DarthValtrex You can try to argue that all you want, but it is simply not true. Gibby is a bigger target so it is easier to land all your shots/pellets.

@DarthValtrex Gibraltar is pretty much unbeatable if you're isolated against him with no cover to hide behind so that much is true. I have no idea why you're suggesting that he's no easier to hit than Wraith or Wattson though as that's just a blatant lie. Against a Gibraltar I can spam wingman shots without much concern for my accuracy while I'd have to slow the fire rate to maintain shots on a Wraith.
With his recent buffs towards team play it might be fine for him to take a big hit to his 1v1 ability as he truly is oppressive if you can't avoid it but lets not be dishonest about how easy he is to hit.
Then again if you play on PC I can understand why the difference in shooting a small character vs a chunky one doesn't feel as significant to you but Gibby would be the easiest character to burst down without that shield.
- DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@heme725 Yeah I understand the larger hit box and everything means you can be more careless with regards to aiming at him. But because I run into so many wraiths and other legends who are not as big, it does not make a huge difference for me. I'm already used to aiming at smaller legends to begin with.
If the idea is that the Gibi will miss more shots vs a smaller legend.. That in my opinion is not happening at the frequency it's supposed to, at least for me. The gibis I run into don't miss many shots not enough to compensate for the 75 extra health they get from that arm shield. 1vs1 I get melted by the gibi 99% of the time and it's only because of his chest shield. Look at the damage add it up and I've done 250+ damage when you factor in I took out the arm shield.
He's insanely OP in 1vs1 unless you can flank him or snipe head shots.. The idea that you just avoid him, you can't always do that..
