Why is there customer support if they’re not going to do anything to help you?

I’m genuinely losing my mind over this, this is the second time a friend of mine has gotten their account compromised and permabanned over some scum on the Asia servers. What good is this support service if all they give is an instant “oh well” response? Why are we supporting this game if we’re apparently just bound to lose everything without any help? Sure, it could be their fault for not getting 2FA (an OPTIONAL extra security measure), but how are any of us supposed to know how vulnerable these accounts are? If they’re not gonna help us for anything why don’t they warn us about that fact and enforce 2FA? I’m just so pissed that we’ve been roughing it out with the quarantine and all, grinding the game since we’re legitimately excited for season 8, and we just get slapped in the face like this. All that money and progress down the drain. Thanks EA.

  • @PortabeIIo If this has happened to someone you know twice that is really on them. After the first time you have to figure out how to stop it from happening again. Either that or they are actually cheating and will not admit it.
  • It was two completely different people, only difference is that the first never got a response to begin with.

    @PortabeIIo Ok I read it as a second time on one. I take it both tried customer support. Unfortunately it seems like there is no way for them to know if someone else has used the account. You would think you could trace it to where the cheating happened but the cheaters probably block it.

    @PortabeIIo There is no point blasting off on here mate....we are just casual players who love/hate the game. We can only empathise mate.

    @PortabeIIo

    2FA is optional but in this case I think it is something that should be used to prevent further compromise.

    You use (or should be using) 2FA for your own valuable accounts such as banking or email so why not Apex?

    Thanks.

  • What good will that advice do if now there’s nothing to even compromise?
