Nope. It does not. No fill is if you wanna play solo. I like playing with a team that behaves as a team.
If a player in my team acts randomly, or, say, that player picks my banner up and trolls with respawning, or trolls with rezzing, toxicity, ineptitude, etc, I have the right to leave.
Leaving is also a way to balance the poor job MM does in PUBS.
Having leaver penalty in PUBS is...laughable.
Similarly, if you dislike leavers, play ranked.
@Vdstrk You said that it's ok to leave if your teammates have different playstyle. I don't see any team play there. Both of you have to adapt to eachother. Of course for every single thing there are exceptions, like you mentioned people trolling or being afk, it's ok to leave in those and other extreme cases . But you do realize that like 80% of trios become duos-solos because when someone gets knocked they leave immediately right? Not even giving a chance to the team to help them. That's solo playing. Leaving immediately because hey who cares, if i win the fight i'm ImperialHal if not my teammates are bad.
Don't get me wrong, i also leave sometimes when i should not to, but i'll gladly accept a penalty because i know it's a bad thing to do. And i'm not asking for a severe penalty. I don't think a 0 xp gained or no challenge progression after leaving is going to affect you badly. It would be a little thing but at least it'd punish some dumb players that act like they are ImperialHal or Rogue.

*******Big premise, I'm only talking about pubs*******
Were MM better at matching players then it would be a whole different issue.
Since MM prioritizes speed over match, it often happens that team play is non existent.
I cannot carry my team mates, match after match for hours, because MM places me with 2 lvl 20, continuously, who have a collective of 6 hours in the game. Nor should players be expected to do penance, because MM offers you a bad deal in order to prioritize speed over quality. Mind you, I'm fine with speed MM as long as I can leave a bad match.
I'm fine with stretching a bit too. But when the stretch is too large, I break. Everyone has a breaking point, even pros, and I am not even remotely close to what you would call a pro. LOLOLOLOLOL
There are players that I am unable, not unwilling, and I mean it literally unable to carry for whatever reason. In those instances I cherish the "right to leave".
It is a thing to make a mistake, even multiple times and learn from it, it is another to know that you are making a mistake and be forced into it.
Sure I could just stay back and let them die, but then what would the difference be?
You do not know for sure why players leave. An emergency? Because there is no comms? Because there is too much comm? Noise? There are a thousand reasons why.
For me personally, the reason for leaving are strictly related to playstyle. If they are too passive and do not take fights at all, or shoot only from a mile away with an SMG, I'm outta there. Sorry, but that type of playstyle tells me they will not do much to help, other than just shooting randomly in the direction enemies are.
If they drop hot along with other 7 teams, have no voice comm, do not answer questions about their stats, again, I'm sorry I'll leave.
No, I do not know what percentage of trios become duos --I have not seen any official stats for it. In my experience people leave when they do not believe the team has a chance of making it once the leaver himself is reduced to a box. Not knocked only, but boxed up. And most of the times they are correct, virtually always.
I would completely remove stats for pubs only. I mean what do we need stats for in pubs other than MM? Pubs stats should be hidden, and for MM use only.
If you want your stats visible, then earn them in Ranked. Just my opinion.- 4 years ago
@Vdstrk I said before that i do not blame people for leaving in some extreme cases. And no there's no official stats, but seeing my experience, streamers on twitch, and hearing out some friends i can say that it's a common issue.
You said you can't carry newbies. Fair enough, but doing this you'll never give the chance to them to actually improve in the game. How do they feel when they see the third more experienced guy leave just because they are noobs? It's not even their fault, they need time to improve. I actually like playing with newbies and being the IGL with them because usually they listen to the more experienced players. They are not the issue. I'll not blame them simply because they can't shoot, what do you expect lol. If most of the people think like you, then noobs will remain forever noobs because they can't rely on a ingame guide.

Good point. How do they feel? I do not know. I wish they had comms to begin with, I would have at least heard what they were thinking. That would change the situation from leaving with no hope, to, "they are trying their best, let's see if they can make it"?
Comms are their prerogative. But I cannot jump to conclusions on how they feel based on the absence of any hint about it.Eh. I cannot say for sure what would they end up being, if they will or not learn the game. There are several resources. Unless I'm specifically asked to share what I do/know, I keep it to myself. And then again, what guarantees are there to say that what I do in game is what is correct?
I'm sorry, but I am not good enough to carry 2 players to victory, how am I expected to be the one teaching them?
