The core issue is when RNG is the deciding factor only.
Lets be clear they didnt win because they out played they won because they were never forced to fight most of the game. In season 1 when we look back you had to fight to win.
Yes third partying did exist but never to the current level. You also had characters like caustic who were a huge deterant to stop it also.
Overtime respawn much away from the fast paced close action gun fights to more a third partying hellfest.
I think the fact you go on KC S1 now you see how many people drop Skulltown it just shows people want this back.
Yes there will be the small percentage who dont like this because they have never bothered to practise and improve at the game but the majority of people who put any time into this game do want this. Even most pro players hate the current way the game plays and a large majority of the community. However its like woke media because the 1% of do enjoy it spam the loudest thats who Respawn listen too. Its a shame but I honestly believe unless things change very soon this game is just a ticking bomb.
Most people you speak to openly admit they are just waiting for a New BR to come out and they are gone. I just wonder if Halo BR does become a thing how quickly you will see this game just drop. We all know its coming and respawn are just digging the hole and focusing on players who wont be here in a year to support them instead of long term players that played and stayed to not only support but because they believe respawn can still turn it around
