Why only listen to streamers and pro players, but the largest amount of people that play are people like me, Caustic needs a buff, he is really slow after the last nerf and useless out of a building, is so big and no have an extra shield like Gibby. I mean He is slower now, the traps are easier to disable. I'm not talking about running, I'm talking about to set traps in a position. I was a caustic main, caustic it's difficult to use is not like wraith you press Q and you're safe, caustic need mind game and control of the area, but now I prefer to use octane because I can escape from bad situations. Why not nerf Wraith? the best character of the game, she has unfair hitboxes, so small and good animation to make it more difficult to hit her, but as she is the main of streamers and pro player doesn't matter. You are allowing yourself to be manipulated by players or people who do not care that the game is balanced, but that it remains easy for them.

@Sand_spitterBuff? He hasnt had a buff for multiple seasons. The last buff was probably when they made it so teammates were not slowed in the gas.He has had a series of nerds since tho including-Longer tactical time. People seem to forget he used to have a shorter time.His barrels are now super easy to shoot down before deploying.His barrels can no longer be thrown thrown tight windows.Wattsons ultimate stops his barrels.Opponents are no longer blinded in his gas.Caustic used to be a counter to a wattson team. Because of the 3 items above he isnt. He was also very good if used aggressively. Again, because of the those items this is no longer the case.Wraith is still favored over every other character because she is tiny. Yes you no longer can just run straight in and then get away but she still is the toughest legend to hit. And the sweats still play her mainly because of that. Plus she can reposition herself and her team without taking damage.Pick rate and comp meta says it all. The claim is caustics pick rate went up after the announced buff. Well duh respawn wasnt that the point? I'm betting that goes back down now.I'm still playing caustic and having fun. He just has to be used a little different now and good players know exactly how to deal with him.

I'm not saying you're wrong but didn't caustic get a buff at the start of the season? He can take more damage and all legends move at the same speed. You can test this by having a race in the firing range with a friend. As an ex wraith main I can assure you she is not op. I had to abandon her completely after the nerf. That 1 secondary delay when she phases will get you killed every time. And all you need to do is follow the blue streak she leaves behind and start shooting at the end of it and it's game over, I have no problem killing wraiths. All things being equal she will lose a 1v1 against any legend with fortify.

@Koochi-Q Ah yeah the fake buff. It isnt much at all. Only idiots sit in it and die from it.

no they really don't that in itself is balanced, he is op indoor and outdoor difficult to use.Don't like that, then pick another Legend. Everything in this thread can be said about a dozen other legends, what good is Wattson, Rampart, Loba, Crypto in open space and they don't even have easy to use traps indoor that directly do dmg to HP. Infact alot of Legends don't have something for open space they use there guns like everyone else. The buff was a nice boost but not getting it does not suddenly make him weak.

@Zencho_369 The thing I hate about this is how they decided not to go with the buff and stick to their decision. If it's backed up by statistics that Caustic needs a buff then they should stick with it but just because they got some backlash they took it back making me question if their buff/nerf decisions are backed up by stats. And most of the players who complain about this game being based around abilities are also the same players who play characters with the strongest abilities.

Why make caustic so weak now and Wraith still having the advantage?

@Zencho_369 There are a ton ofplayers on the forum who want to see Caustics traps buffed. I don't think he needs much..

I think all he really needs is either more traps or the traps need to be harder to shoot down and possible a longer duration on the gas emission.

Wraith is a challenging legend to nerf. Let's face it, she has some of the best abilities in game. Her passive is one of the best, her tactical is great, her portals are huge for teams in certain situations. How ever, she is extremely weak against players who can hit her. If you take a Caustic vs a Wraith, the Wraith misses no shots and the Caustic misses no shots, the Caustic will win every single time. So increased hit box might help level the playing field, but they might have to make some adjustments to the damage she takes.

I would prefer to see her hit box increased slightly and possibly a revert on the arms/legs taking body damage numbers. I think that would be a fair trade.

Caustic is badly designed. He is stupidly OP and super ez to use in a building and * in open space. They need to balance that out, One way could be to change his tactical to make it like little gas grenades like Bangalore's tactical.

@DarthValtrex yeah a trade like that could work but to call for more nerfs to her is just unfair. People say it's easy to play as a Wraith but it's really not especially when you have to fight because as you said if the enemy is good there's not really much you can do unless you're a God tier player.

@Cro_Pittt I quit playing her because in the high skill lobbies you bump into people who do not miss, even on her.

Larger hit box plus adjustments to the damage she takes is the way to nerf/buff her and keep her as a competitive legend.

She stands no chance against any legend who can land shots against her. She takes more damage and will go down faster.

I'll play her in pubs and yeah in some fights my armor almost never gets broken because the enemy has such a hard time landing shots. But when they do land shots it's not even a contest.

I don't think they'll be able to balance out the pick rate unless they nerf into something that's unplayable. If they go that route they are going to make a ton of people abandon the game. Lots of people have spent a ton of money on cosmetics for her. They will not be happy if they can't use those cosmetics anymore because she's been nerfed to much.

@Sand_spitter A high level strafing wraith with good aim will win a close up fight with a caustic pretty much everytime. Assuming they are not in gas. Why? Because she is much harder to hit. the fortified doesnt do much really. An extra bullet is needed on some guns. It helps more if trying to move away or between positions than anything.

As for why they nerfing legends instead of just buffing- The claim is they want the game to be more about gun fights than abilities.

@Zencho_369 Don't you bring my wraith into this in comparison. Wraith has zero Advantages...... Wraith has been nerfed more times then every single legend combined together...... Why the eff does she deserve more nerfs because players are bad at the game and unable to kill her....... Nothing about her is broken but the players who have crap aim and cant hit their way out a paper sack.

She is nerfed time and time again not because she was over powered ONLY because the pick rate for her is super high compared to others. Instead lets punish people who find wraith to be the most fun by nerfing her more into the ground in hopes she wont be picked as much.

Learn to kill her she is easy to kill. We dont see wraiths on these forums saying its impossible to kill wraiths. You do not see high level players with 3k + hours and over 10k games played on these forums saying wraith is over powered and cant be killed. Because she is just as killable as any other legend. People should get good. First time ive said this term on these forums and i mean it. Players need to stop being bad at the game and blaming a legend for their lack of skill.
