@CroL0co/ @Thorleifs yeah, I don't get why there is such thing as rank protection... matchmaking - well what's the point of having quick bad games one after another vs waiting 20 min for one you know will be good?
Somehow EA seems to prioritize cry baby needs over quality - nubs who got boosted want to troll P+ level lobbies or somehow dream to belong there after being boosted enough times (yeah like 100 maybe), Preds cry about waiting time so they get fed "nub" Diamond randoms vs set Pred squads... I guess we - people who are fed and fed up with what is going on - are just indeed minority ☹️
@Thorleifsbadges :D I removed them all, removed the trail, and never care to read what badges do I get. Even if I make it to Masters I would stick with no badge and trail for it either. This system of mindf#% and badges is just insane and creates so many game experience issues :/
Tier protection does make issues for some as it allows noobs to be stuck in a rank and puts them on good player's team. However a GOOD player will IGL or just learn to conform to the bad teammate to make the most out of it. My promotion game into masters was a P2 and a hardstuck D4 teammates and we did very well tbh.

@IAvoxI This is an excellent reply. My playing buddy solo-q'd a smurf account to Masters this split on PS5, his first time taking ranked at all seriously. I asked him about a lot of the typical complaints one hears about solo queuing ranked. He said he experienced very few of them - primarily because he used his mic from before the match started. He said that overwhelmingly, his team mates were willing to listen to his callouts due to his establishing a rapport and leading if necessary. I realize that not everyone has a personality which can glue randoms together, but it sure worked for him. Very few of his games involved him ratting by himself for placement.

Yep most teammates are decent at the game and like I discussed with my friend. The higher rank you get in the game is not necessarily a SKILL gap from lower ranks. It's a MENTAL thing. You have to just be able to make decisions extremely quickly and be aware of everything. That's like I used to play Rocket League and there are some insane mechanics that allow you to do some nutty trick shots that are unpredictable. When I really grinded that game I was Grand Champ (highest rank at that time) and my mechanics were nothing compared to some of my friends that were like platinum/diamond area. I had good ball control ground or air but not much more than that. No ceiling shots and no flip resets. The difference was I knew when and when not to do certain things and they just didn't.

I’m noob and I play at Platinum rank. Not because I want. I wanted to start my ranked matches with 0 rank - like rookie or something similar - and play against players being on my level. The game for some reason decided to give me Platinum rank and now I am just annoying for other players.
