Winter Express is my favorite LTM outside of the big LTMs like Control and Gun Run but if the game already made more than 2 billion dollars you should've invested some of that back into the game. Should’ve made a new mode. It’s like they removed the train in WE just so they can recycle Winter Express every holiday.
The change they made last year to the loadout system continues to make this mode unbalanced. Certain legends (Caustic, Wattson...) used to be balanced out by the set loadouts for each legend. Being able to choose any legend and loadout is not a good system for this mode.
@hayhor 100%. Though I've gotta say that Valk's quick mobility feels really good for the mode.
Also, you'll be dusting off your PS4 version, if you want to actually play.

I had fun. Played for about 3 hours. 2 mega crashes where I had to wait a couple minutes for my ps5 to work out it crashed and then get to the grey screen. I'm honestly amazed how poor people are at this game.
Oh and I played Mags the whole time. Bowling balls and shotguns.
Yeah, another map where I can actually use Wattson again.
I like it, but ditto on the coulda done more. Like a lot more.
Popularity slip in the game could easily turn into an EA excuse to send the dev team to work on something else, it feels like Respawn might be giving up a bit. Certainly banging the same drum (formula) over and over has a shelf life, that's for any game.
Well, didn't try yet. Had too much fun with my fleet on Star Trek's winter event. I also read disheartening tweets about how Wattson, Caustic, and Rampart cringelords have taken over the mode, to grief people's fun. So... couldn't really bother. They really need to make non-cringelord lobbies, where you can have fun without certain game ruining legends stomping on the fun. Imagine a BR mode (with actual BR gameplay) without Valk, Seer, Vantage, or Gibby... holy! I would play that 24/7!
