Apex bsod while playing

After the new season came out I have been having problems playing apex.  I start the game play for about 5 minutes then bsod crash and it auto restarts my computer.  The last couple days I haven't been about to get pass the main screen.  I need help I have followed all of the troubleshooting email ea has sent me.  The bsod message I will upload the picture.

  • Hey @GeneralBear7

The blue screen code indicates that there are possibly some corrupted files on your system.
    I'll suggest some troubleshooting steps:

First try to check if you have pending windows updates, sometimes a quick update gets a lot fixed.

If that didn't solve the issue:

Press your Windows key, type CMD.

Then right-click the command prompt icon and run as administrator.

    Now type here: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

This can could take a couple of minutes to start and maybe around 30 minutes to complete.

When that is done, try to run the sfc /scannow.

When you see Verification 100% complete, type exit and reboot.

If you are still crashing after this, maybe a clean GPU driver update will do the trick:

    Download DDU (Display driver uninstaller),

Run it and Have it remove all NVIDIA Software / Drivers.

If you previously Owned an AMD, have it remove those as well.

    Download the Driver Package.

    Install drivers using Custom.

Uncheck the services you do not use.

    Check the Clean Install box.

If that did not solve the issue for you, let me know by mentioning me with @zeelmaekers
This way I get an email when you reply!

  • Almost all the BSODs I've ever had in any version of windows either had a driver or memory-related cause. Having said that time-limited crashes can sometimes be derived from heat or power-draw, particularly if a video card is old or needs a dust blowout and the issue seems to be getting progressively worse.

It's also possible that the crash is related to a windows update that didn't install properly and/or is now interacting badly with video card drivers. Updating or changing graphics drivers and checking your current updates is a good place to start when trouble shooting issues. BSODs can have a range of causes so a certain amount of experimentation is unfortunately necessary.

  • @Zeelmaekers  I tried the first solution didn't help I have not been able to try the 2nd solution you gave me yet. But this time I didn't get a bsod but I was able to play apex for 5 min and then it froze mid game and made a loud buzzing sound.

    Hey @GeneralBear7
Thanks for letting me know, when you did the first step, have you checked if it repaired any Windows files?
If you didn't check no worries, Im positive there isn't directly an issue with the game but rather some corrupted files that need fixing.
The freezing could maybe get solved with the second option, give me a heads-up when you tried that 🙂

  • @Zeelmaekers there was a couple corrupted files it said it found and repaired. I didn't do the second option exactly as you described I went into device manager and completely Uninstalled display drivers for amd. Restarted the computer reinstalled the display drivers and it updated the drivers to an even newer version than I had updated just 3 days prior. The fix was apparently out dated display drivers/ missing drivers. I would say your option 2 did help. Thanks for the help it was more help than I got from ea.

    Hey @GeneralBear7
Great to hear that you got it fixed.
Please mark to post a solution as this will help other players find the fix when they have the same issue.
Good luck in future games! 🙌
